Chipotle is good, but it lacks the spicey red sauce and gooey cheese....its more of a tame sort of Mexican food.

In L.A, we have some great indie places....Tito's Tacos, Campo's Burritos, El Coyote', as well as the thousands of taco trucks that roam around all day/night.

L.A. has the BEST mexican aka Don Antonio's on W Pico Blvd. Just talking about this place the other day with a friend. Cantina Real on Hermosa Beach isn't bad, but why go there when you can go to Dons or Tito's?

And I dig Chipotle...not because I consider or don't consider it authentic Mexican, or anything, but because its products are fresh and their guacamole is delicious. My standard: Vegetarian bowl w/ brown rice, black beans, salsa, corn, guacamole, and lettuce! Split that baby in half and you got dinner and lunch the next day :)
  • The chicken quesadillas are great. They aren't on the menu, but they will make it for you if you ask.

Moe's Southwest Grill is really good. In the Penn Station one on the LIRR level, they have a 5.99 burrito special. One bonus about Moe's is that chips are included free with the burrito.

Glad I don't live up there. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if all the Chipotle's were closed!

Never been to one. Closest one is over an hour away.

Their stock is rising despite the E Coli stuff.

Never been to one either, Jason - though one is in the process of being erected nearby.

Right next to Taco Bell, too!

We have Taco Time NW: http://www.tacotimenw.com/default.aspx
besides the local taco truck or Pecado Bueno, we choose Taco Time.

I've been to Chipotle-meh (the one that just opened-like at the end of September-is currently closed because of the e.coli freakout)

    Qdoba-they have chips and queso

Taco Del Mar-have you seen the calories in their food!?!??!

Taco Bell-disgusting..."make a run for the bathroom"
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Not quite all of them are closed, but the one I saw that was open was completely empty at lunch time. The fear of shits is strong.
