im hoping she takes a chill pill but i doubt it

i just feel 2 people dont need to be married because its the "thing" to do
sooooooooo... she wants marriage, you don't... but you feel the right thing to do is start chatting up other women to fill the time between now and when you break up?

Correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I'm picking up so far :o

And you KNOW that's not the right thing to do. If it's just a matter of time, that time should be now.

She sounds more like a crush than a friend.

I'm cool with my hubby having female friends, but if he started getting too 'excited' about the friendship I'd probably start getting jealous.

So, how does your girlfriend feel about this new friend?

    yea but an unrealistic crush

we both have our own things going on

and believe it or not i just like to hang out w/ her
i was excited about the email becuase whenever i saw her it was by chance

now i can say hey wanna meet for a smoke

its 10 minutes of fun during my 10 hours of misery called work

and my gf knows i have female friends at work ,,as does she with male friends

when the chatting consists of "hey how was ur weekend" and innocent chit-chat i dont see the problem ...

    im not asking her out?
i realize it may be perceived as that but its not

dont get me wrong ,, if this girl made the first move and said u wanna hang outside of work
    i would seriously consider it

If she made the first move towards something less innocent and a whole lot more intimate, would you seriously consider it? Are you hoping for it?

I love an unrealistic crush now and then - Like the super hot gay guy who would be way out of my league even if he were straight. Those crushes have a lot of steam. ;):D

consider it ... totally ,, hoping for it.. ????? lol tough question

and ur last statement about the unrealistic crush can also fit into this story

when i first saw this girl downstairs she seemed very uptight ,,like she knew she was good looking and didnt want to be bothered with anyone and the im too cool for school attitude
and i said to myself,, i gotta talk to this girl
didnt think it was realistic at that point
but my initial observation couldnt have been more wrong

    she is the exact oppposite

I really think you need to do your girlfriend a favour and break up with her :( and I mean that in the nicest possible way.

does she know that you're not really relationship material, never mind marriage material? :o

it was only a matter of time until this got ugly. :)

    here is the litmus test:
if your GF asked a guy for his email addy who she thought was hot and was chatting via email with him and going for a smoke w/him, would you be okay with it?

also, if chica bonita asked you on a date, would you go? if the answer is yes, you should allow her to see other people as well and be honest.

I think what all the ladies are trying to say is if your doubtful about your relationship, let her go so she can find someone who isn't. also be honest about what you want as far as marriage and kids go - it's okay to say you are not sure right now. things do change with age. but she has to be willing to deal with your confusion. bottom line - truth is best.

    Interesting.
    I've read some of this
    not all of it.
Dude, you'd be on the floor
ready for action from this girl
faster than if you'd droped your hat.

This is shaking ground you are
trying very hard to weasel your way out of.
Many ppl here have put you in check so to speak
and i personally see/read some statements of yours where
you are like very excited about this co-worker of yours in a sexual way.
Please don't jerk us all off.
I am about 100% positive you'd have sex with this co-worker of yours
right now, right this very moment and in the janitors closet.
Only after you two smoked your cigarettes at the smokers hang-out.
Perhaps puff away in the janitors closet after sex, catch the dang closet on fire.

Have you told your g/f about your brand new lady friend and will you if you havent already?

No, you can have female friends... but if you want to be more than just friends with said female friends (which you said you would consider if the option was there) well you really don't care enough for your girlfriend to be in a relationship.

agree.....and we also can't judge if we don't know the circumstances...
NY PJ1 just wanted to share something "trivial", he didn't want an analysis of the whole situation here...He knows what he's doing, better than anyone here.
