Not a chance, I could never watch a womens sport in person or on television
Apparently, you haven't watched women's tennis. Give it a try, you'll love it! ;)

P.S. Baseball is great, my 2nd favorite sport behind basketball.

Soccer is more boring than Baseball. and yes, I understand the players are moving all the time.....but it's still really boring.

I would rather watch American Idol than baseball, golf, or NASCAR. Wait, no I wouldn't. Well, maybe. I don't know. Hard to say... God forbid I'm actually ever in a situation where I would have to decide.

baseball may be boring to some, but it's obviously not in a few areas attendance at ballgames has never been this high and even the popularity of many minor league teams.

Also it's the sport that most people can remember details of games they watched years ago. Not to say that's not happening in other sports but it seems more common in baseball (at least with people I know).

I love baseball. I enjoy most any sporting event in person or on TV but baseball is my favorite. We got MLB Extra Innings this year and I watch at least a few innings almost every night of the week.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

The moral of this thread: Baseball is the best sport in the world. Basketball is a close second. Go Lakers.

Seriously though, to each his own. I like to watch baseball, basketball and golf. I am not a football fan. I like watching World Cup soccer, but am bored with auto racing. Go figure.

    I love watching baseball
it can get slow if the game is not exciting but if there's a close game, in the late innings, with the closer coming in? Woo hoo. To me it's super exciting. But I've been watching baseball for a long time,
    since I was 13.

and playoff ball? Forget about it! My blood pressure goes up!

I enjoy hockey live but you are right. TV doesn't do it any justice. You can't see plays develop and the puck moves to fast for the cameras.

Conversely, I saw my first live NFL game last year and I can't believe how much better it is on TV than it is live. The crowd was awesome, the game was good (A.P. had 296 yards and there was a missed field goal returned 109 yards for a TD) but the game was the shits to watch from the stands.

I would go to 1000 MLB games before I go to another NFL game.

I pitched and I played the hot corner which is like playing the goalie position in hockey. So this game kept my interest for some time. i grew out of hockey mainly because that position became too expensive to continue playing.

Besides we moved to Charleston, SC and they do not play hockey down there, it's baseball, football and basketball.

I have season NY Giants tickets and love going to the games but there is some truth to that statement. To me is has to do with all the standing around the players do when you are at the game. The guy with the bright Orange sleeves steps on the field constantly for commercial breaks. I think a football game would be a good half hour shorter with out all these BS interruptions. Also, unless you have seats on the 50 yard line it is sometimes tough to gage the outcome of a play. You think the guy ran and got the 1st down and then look at the scoreboard you see he is 3 yards short. TV helps football big time.
Hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the jon so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz? YEEAAHHH. I don't care if he is Mr. Notorious BIG, can he croon?

American football is made for TV than in person. It appears to be a drag sitting and watching live except one has to pay attention one surely has to pay out your pockets.

really??!! I would much rather BE there than watch on tv. I think its a fun time being out there. Then again, I guess its easy not to pay attention while present because theres so much activity going on! I used to have VIP tickets to every single Laker game and i would go to SOME and just chill and be catered to but i never really payed attention to the game!
