Baseball in person is great. I dont watch it a whole lot on television unless I am at work but it is still better than 98% of what is on television.

it's boring, but not even in the same boringness league as soccer. Baseball, as boring as it is, atleast assures you of a outcome. You could go to a soccer game and sit there watching the grass grow for 90 minutes and leave to a 0-0 tie.

    98% of the shows maybe

but the wnba is even more exciting than this sport
  • i cant sit through 6 minutes of hockey. baseball is more mental and actually have to have some brains to understand it.

hockey is the same thing every friggen time, up and down the ice.

I love to watch baseball. It doesn't matter to me if it is live or o TV. It is a "thinking man's game". There is the possibility of something happening on every pitch. Football (American) is my favorite sport to watch but baseball is a close second. You can keep the NBA for all I care. I cannot stand pro basketball. I love college but not the NBA. I will admit playoff basketball is ok but the regular season is downright awful.
Hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the jon so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz? YEEAAHHH. I don't care if he is Mr. Notorious BIG, can he croon?

The only women's sport I can watch is volleyball. Beach or indoor. The one thing I don't get is why is womens basketball played on a 10" rim? Softball is different than baseball, volleyball uses a lower net, golf has shorter tees. I know the WNBA uses a smaller ball because women are not as big as men. I think if the played on a 9 or a 9.5 foot rim it wold make it much more watchable. I still wouldn't watch it but still.

i will admit, that game was amazing. i dont mind OT as long as it doesnt end with a shootout. they are most anticlimatic finishes in sports.

One Game Playoff 2007, Rockies vs. Padres.
2004 ALCS Game 4, Red Sox vs, Yankees
July 27th 2004 Red Sox vs. yankees(A-Rod vs, Varitek fight)
    enough said.

By thinking man's game I mean, I just threw a slider do I go fastball or curve? Do I hit and run with 2 outs, do I bunt the runner over or swing away? Stuff like that. There is so much strategy involved. Plus I think baseball is the sport where the manager / head coach has the most influence.

But hey, if you are not into it than so be it.

It is boring. I cannot watch it on tv. Going to a game is okay but even that isn't too exciting.

Every sport has at least a memorable game a few times a year - just off the top of my head:

Game 7 World Series 2001 Schilling vs. Clemens and Rivera blows the save.
Games 4, 5 and 6 of the ALCS with the Red Sox coming back from 3-0 in the series.
The Dodgers hitting 4 straight home runs in the bottom of the 9th and then winning the game against the Padres in 2005.
The Rockies and Padres extra innings game to get into the playoffs last year.
    * Add in Game 7 of the ALCS when the Yanks came back against the Sox with Aaron Boone in 2003 and the Bartman game when the Marlins made that crazy comeback as well.

I have the baseball ticket and love it. But I can't watch hockey unless it's in person or in the playoffs. Hockey just translates horribly to tv.

2004 ALCS Game 4, Red Sox vs, Yankees

Even I as a Yankees fan think that was a GREAT game. Although I didn't enjoy the outcome of that game or the series or anything really since then...lol.

I enjoy hockey live but you are right. TV doesn't do it any justice. You can't see plays develop and the puck moves to fast for the cameras.

True except that scene is very entertaining, Nascar is just terrible. Nascar is so bad, I think I would even have a hard time getting along with somebody that enjoys Nascar.

I'd almost rather watch soccer than NASCAR...but the wrecks in NASCAR still place it above soccer- also, the sissy soccer players flopping and carrying on after a foul lower the entertainment values of soccer.
