He's gotten progressively bigger, and he is a big man. Talk about jealousy. Why dont you take a look at his baseball cards year after year and check out the difference.
we can do this with anyone:

thats a load of crap
im not gonna argue in this thread,, but only he has gotten bigger naturally?
it sounds so stupid
jealousy no,,,just pointing out the truth0 -
All I know is anyone can take supplements and get bigger as they age. I'm bigger now at 32 than I was at 21 muscle wise. I didn't take any enhancers. As people age they fill out and get more body mass(in most cases) Once you gain that mass and start working out religiously you are going to look a lot bigger.
Not saying that 50% of MLB isn't on roids. I'm just saying you can get bigger by just working out and aging.NERDS!0 -
Christ, take two pics of me from 10 years apart and it will look like I've done steroids too. But really I just drank more beerThis is your notice that there is a problem with your signature. Please remove it.

awwww papi.
i love you
and i love me them world series champions too!
buahahahahahahaha0 -
I'm a yankees fan but i think we can't just always assume just because someone has gained mass they are on the roids.
When Ortiz left the twins he was 26 his first year with the sox he was 27. Generally speaking 27 is the age you put it all together on average. Experience and still at your peak physical condition. He jumped from 20 - 31 HR's in his first year with the sox his break out year.
He then went on to put up 41 47 54 in the next three season before dipping back down to 35 this year.
Now if for the rest of his career he stays around low to mid 30's for the most part you would easily be able to look back on his career and say well Those 4 or 5 years were his prime years in his career where everything was clicking.
Maybe Fenway helped some to it is a good hitters park.
That said i must admit he did put on a TON of mass and i would not be surprised if it came out he did use roids. I tried to do a google search and find out what his weight was his last year with the Twins and his first year with the sox to see if their was a massive jump. That might be a telling sign. anyone know that for curiosity sake?Charlotte 00 | Charlotte 03 | Asheville 04 | Atlanta 12 | Greenville 16 | Columbia 16 |Seattle 18 | Nashville 22 | Ohana Festival 24 x2 | Atlanta 25 x20 -
and now his knees are going out like the rest
if he played 1st base his knees would have went 2 -3 years ago
its the hgh ,,thats what everyone is on0 -
There is no proof. Like I said if you look through his pictures he got bigger every year. The sox were concerned about it. He was so big this year because he had bad knees. And don't go spouting BS about HGH abd his knees. He had bad knees in Minny too.9/7/98, 8/3/00, 9/4/00, 4/15/03, 7/1/03, 9/28/04, 9/29/04, 5/24/06, 5/25/06, 6/17/08, 6/22/08, 6/28/08, 6/30/08, 5/17/10, 10/15/13, 10/16/13.0

Not sure who these yankees are that are crying. I mean in all honesty the report yesterday was a big joke. All they have is a he said she said report. With the exception of those folks who they have checks/money orders from.
I don't think many fans of any team is reading too much into this. I think everyone knows hgh and steroids have been a problem and many people on all teams have used them.
Personally i'm excited about next year.Charlotte 00 | Charlotte 03 | Asheville 04 | Atlanta 12 | Greenville 16 | Columbia 16 |Seattle 18 | Nashville 22 | Ohana Festival 24 x2 | Atlanta 25 x20 -
Like I posted yesterday:
You make a good argument, but in 1997 when that picture was taken he hit 31 home runs in 539 at bats in the minors. He was hurt in 98 and in 99 he hit 30 home runs in 476 at bats. You could easily argue that he hard a hard time adjusting to the major leagues because the Twins wanted him to focus more on playing small ball and the fact he wasn't an everyday player for his power numbers being low the first few seasons in the majors.
Papi didn't start playing everyday until July of 03 and hit 27 of his 31 home runs from that point of the season and the rest has been history.- Busted down the pretext

How does Ortiz look like he's on the juice? It looks like the fucker simply got fat, thus the knees take a beating, obviously. Am I alone in thinking that he doesn't look any more muscular, just looks like he ate too many fucking burgers and shit?'I want to hurry home to you
put on a slow, dumb show for you

Looking at the first pic again, he looks way more muscular. In the second pic, he simply looks fatter with less muscle..Horrible example, and it proves itself wrong..sorry to burst the Yankee bubble on this one..'I want to hurry home to you
