ARod is too much.... He's like Metallica... A big sellout and all about himself... The Big Puma (Berkman) flies under the radar doing his own thing...Tony

Do they really?!Bathgate66 wrote:the stadium plays " betterman" everytime this guy comes to bat.
I thought it was going to be a link to Jeets, which would have been a good one.0 -
excellent one! Much better suggestion than Greg Luzinski. Bake McBride would have been a fun one.PJammer4life wrote:Mike Schmidt0 -
If they were a past player they would be Joe Dimaggio.
Carries himself with dignity and class. Tried to keep a lower profile. And one of the greatest of all time. Especially all around game. Much like the entire band contributing.
I'll try and think of a current one.0 -
Félix FermínFurther back and forth a wave will break on me, today...0

Perhaps now they are Kerry Wood.
Made splash on the scene as a superstar. PJ took a back seat away from the media. Wood got injured and was kind of out of the spotlight.
Wood is now back and in a different role. Kind of like PJ's music evolving. Still great.0 -
I was waiting for the first pitcher. Good one, particularly given his PJ connection. However, without the longevity yet, maybe Dennis Eckersley, Nolan Ryan or Randy Johnson are more appropriate.Wilds wrote:Perhaps now they are Kerry Wood.

I like the Eck one. Hall of Famer with style. Championships, addiction. Awesome career.
Loved the East and West Coasts. lol.0 -
no one has said good ol' Cal Ripken Jr. yet.
Cal Jr. wasn't flashy, he liked to get dirty and he got the job done. Reliable and consistent. Day in, day out and the longevity and durability of this class act were unquestionable. Kinda like our boys!
