I don't think anyone said race was a factor for a majority of voters, only that it had an affect, depending on where we're talking about. In Appalachia, 20 - 30% of white voters claimed that race was the reason they won't vote for Obama, the exact percentages depending on the state and county. I'm sure you've heard the old axiom "Just because you’re paranoid, doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you." Same logic - just because the media is sensationalistic, doesn't mean what they're reporting is incorrect. And we're not talking about the Klan or Neo-Nazis here. I'm talking sweet little old ladies and honest, hard working young people who, when I talked to them during my last trip to Appalachia (where I'm from - Ohio side) told me, in no uncertain terms, that they would not be voting for that n***** .
