    I agree that it should be legalized.
    I also think that it should be illegal to drive high, like it is to drive drunk.
    It would help rid organized crime of a lot of cash.

    I'm thinkig.....users will take pride in their harvest....kinda like folks with gardens that grow tomato's or whatever.........rather than go to the store...more than you think would make the time investment

    Why any drug is illegal is beyond me.. thats my liberatarian side talking..

    Personally, I don't like weed at all. I prefer alcohol, which is an even more dangerous drug.

    I agree with you on both counts. What an adult chooses to ingest shouldn't be the gov'ts business.

    Alcohol and Diet Coke are my drugs of choice. Weed makes me depressed and paranoid.

    It does that to me too. Didn't seem to have that affect in my younger days, I certainly smoked more than my share, but somewhere in my early 20s it simply lost it's appeal. I've gotten high maybe 5 or 6 times in the past 20 years or so, and ever single time I've regretted it ... I'd been having much better time with my margaritas alone.

    Still, it's a freakin' plant, it's less harmless than a lot of legal things we could be doing (like slugging back margaritas!), and it's none of the government's damn business.

    Perhaps because i have a chronic illness i see two sides to this debate, legalising for recreational use and for medical use, i'm not into recreational drugs alcohol at all, and i don't really care either way, but i would like to see more research (there is quite a lot arguing it helps people with very serious illnesses in small doses) and in legalising it for the people who would like to use it for their condition.

    Sadly, bringing up hemp in a mj legalization debate can be detrimental to the hemp movement....not enough people know the difference....the fact that commercial/industrial hemp is illegal is as big a travesty as prohibition of mj...but mentioning them together can scare the uninformed away from supporting the hemp movement. I can live with some arguments supporting prohibition, because they are based on a belief system (that I don't agree with)....but they should be looked at separately, because anyone that doesn't support commercial/industrial hemp is plain ignorant....
