Palin was/is no more qualified than any other candidate that was on the ticket. Obama is in no way the best candidate for the job but Palin would have been ruinous. She would have taken the damage inflicted by the Bush administration and multiplied it 10 fold. with all that is going on right now we need a candidate who would unite the country in order to get us past our troubles, not one who would continue to widen the current divide.
i see where you are coming from there, and dont disagree but the Palin bashing is unwarrented
also a report just came out all the things about her not knowing about NAFTA and all that is false
the McCain staffers are saving their asses right now because they were made to look like fools because they mishandled the whole campaign

I agree with you about the staffer but I have no love for Palin. Not because of her political views but because of her divisiveness. The country is in crisis mode, we have an economic meltdown and she is on the campaign trial talking about the pro-American parts of the country and real America. I'm sorry that I live in the NYC area and don't share some of her political views but that does not make me un-American and talk like that is exactly what we don't need at this point in time. I found that extremely offensive.

and this is yet another reason why the GOP lost.
Karl Rove like techniques to divide the country, then, work on a small part of undecideds to have the election won.
and now, look at the huge backlash within the Republican party.
I hope this election begins the end of that type of campaigning. There's a way to disagree with your opponent't policies and beleifs ... questioning if their supporters are "real Americans" is NOT one of them.
