Wow, she's less informed than I thought...and that's saying something.

Me too!!! My god. We dodged a freaking bullet.
  • I watched this when it aired on Fox--which seems, to me anyways, to be the most interesting of the 24 hour news shit-shows.

The reporting on this, though it's okay to laugh a bit now, is still rather frightening. It does seem to confirm a lot of the theories that have been swirling around regarding the Republican party though.
  • Even though I'd really like to kidnap Shep and bring him to another network, I think I've decided, after watching several of his interviews lately, that he really needs to stay at FOX News so that any right-wingers who might be getting all their news from that one station get a little dose of sanity now and then ;)

I have to ask the question...

Did John McCain pick Sarah Palin because he was purposely trying to lose?

So far, Obama has had two very easy Federal elections... one against Alan Keyes (who is hardcore conservative and uber self-righteous about it) and another against a 72 year old kook with a total ditz as a running mate.

These are thoughts that lead your mind into New World Order conspiracy theory land...
  • The reporter not telling the American people. because it was "off the record" that Sarah Palin did not know that Africa was a continent is Unamerican. "Off the record" usually is something that is incriminating or opinion. If she didn't know that Africa was a continent, that is a fact and is not off the record. Just shows you how slanted Fox News is.

If Mccain had won, would they have done the story? I don't think so.

Wow, is all I can say. How in the world did that party allow her to be on the ticket?

I think the real question is "Did John McCain pick Sarah Palin?"

Someone here posted a link to an interesting audio interview about the events leading up to Palin's selection. Seems like it partly involved Bill Kristol and Dick Morris having lunch with her up in Alaska for some reason (not while looking for VP) and basically falling in love/lust with her and then running back to DC singing her praises. I think McCain just trusted them. Bad decision on his part. I'll have to look for that link...

Exactly... and who did? Is it possible that our elections are just elaborate charades put on by the elite and their media?

Well, I like to assume they're not... but these thoughts keep creeping back into my head.

That's really funny, in a really almost frightening sort of way.

Africa? NAFTA? Holy shit, I am no were even close to being presidential in intellect and I knew that Africa is a continent and that the North American Free Trade Agreement was between the 3 countries that make up the continent North America. Hell, she probably also just learned that Mexico is not in South American, but rather in North America.

Of course, they're all telling the truth and being completely accountable for running a crappy campaign.

"Ahhhhhh, it's the dumb girl's fault! Let's call her stupid!"

It's funny how everyone here is buying this part and parcel.

The lefties want to say that the campaign managers were from Bush and are all liars, but buy up their bullshit when it's convenient. Brother.

Are we completely void of critical thinking here?
  • according to my good friends at hannity.com, foxnews is part of the liberal media, and they are just trying to tear this great woman down. It could come out that Palin thought she was actually running for VP of the Moon, and these yokels would still be defending her from the big bad media

it was QUITE hilarious to see a lot of those folks singing the praises of Hillary Clinton leading up to the election ... hoping the P.U.M.A. vote would screw Obama ...

I love how Fox would put on any crackpot who claimed to be a Clinton supporter voting for McCain. Just like they put on any crackpot who made a scene at a McCain/Palin rally in recent weeks, like "He's an A-Rab" lady, or "I'm mad as hell" guy, or my favorite, Tito the Builder. remember, you heard the 2012 ticket here first. Plumber/Builder. He's an A-Rab for Sec. of State

  • I don't fault Palin for being Palin, what ever that may be, it's McCain and his campaign leaderships fault they lost, that they chose Palin without a proper vetting, that they handled her wrong, and that they are incompetent indiots.

    on another note:

when I saw the headlines about Palin talking to campaign rep's in her towel, I thought they meant this morning, and that they came for all the clothes, lol

One thing I forgot to mention ... the person that brought these news stories was Carl Cameron ...

He's a GOP operative working for Fox ... his wife campaigned with George Bush ... he's been responsible for several nasty reports on republicans over the years ...

Here's some dirt on Mr. Cameron ...

There's a whole series of videos entitles "Outfoxed" which drills deep into Fox News .... check them out ...

Palin was chosen because she would garner the affections of the Religious Right... the Religious Right of Jerry Falwell and Pat Roberson that John McCain once described as 'Agents of intolerance'. It was a strategic pick by McCain to get through the campaign... which might explain the early reluctance on personal interviews on Palin's part. Had McCain won, I wouldn't have been surprized if Palin would resign, leaving the Vice Presidency an appointment by McCain.
Palin's downfall was... the more she spoke... the more she revealed about herself. She made Dan Quayle look like fucking Einstein.

while she was far from perfect and had her issues I can't help but think some of this is just complete crap to try and make the advisers look like they didn't run a good campaign. They now have their scapegoat and they can blame her.

uhhh ... i think it was pretty obvious she was out of her league ... this isn't some media conspiracy to make her look dumb ... similar to bush - only she could do that ...

i know there are die-hard palin supporters on here which is fine but her lack of knowledge was glaring right from the get go to a lot of us ...
