It sounds like you missed the point of the video. And my reason for posting it.

And this is definately what I'd want to see too. With no one suppressed, it would lead to all speaking their minds, and a consensus choosing the right ones to lead the group. If that leader turned out to be bad, he/she'd be overthrown.

If there were no rules, no authority, no government, who's to say society wouldn't be democratic?

Yeah, pretty much as it is now! :) Except that it's time for an overthrow because too many have been suppressed for too long and consensus is no longer being reached. :)
    NOPE!!!

tht' rich coming from the chick who resorted to calling me a loser rather than responding to my arguments in the cheating thread.

tis called being a hypocrite conor. one opens their mind, but only wide enough to let the godlight in and then one is able rag on everything else as only the truly intolerant can, knowing they'll be sweet cause in god they trust.

Oh really? And how do you and SS and Jeannie and Hippie explain the ridicule, name calling and insult slinging you have conducted? Oh right...thats different.
Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense.

Which leads to the question....who imposes the authority and how do they get that power?

That an irrelevant question. The fact is that someone or some group of people will organise and seize power if the current regime is overthrown or collaspes.

If the current government of any country is dissolved their with be some sort of 'commitee' or 'party' formed almost immediately either to take power via popular vote or by force.

well juberoo, even i get tired of being ridiculed and sometimes that ends up with me reacting by instinctually hitting back. please direct me to my offensive name calling and i shall apologise if it was in any way at all pre emptive on my part. :)

I try very hard to avoid name calling and other personal insults, although I know that on several occasions I have lost my temper and stooped to such levels. If I have done so with you, I apologize.

I do NOT apologize for insulting riduculous ideas, mind you ... that's perfectly legitimate on a board where we debate ideas. But if I have insulted you as a person, then yes, that was wrong and I shouldn't have done it. I'd appreciate it if you'd point it out to me, actually, because I can't recall having done so.

    Lol.
I get the jist of what you are saying, you just defined "anarchy" by the "without laws" portion.

Best example of unintentional humour i've seen here in a while.

    Sorry Ahnimus.

Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

we ridicule your beliefs and ideas for their arrogance, condescension, racism, and so on. you seem incapable of putting together a coherent and compelling response to our arguments. so you ridicule our persons, not our ideas. we say your views are narrow-minded and judgmental, you say we're a loser. there's a difference. i don't expect you to be able to grasp it, but it's there.

you will have groups of people trying to bond together and create a system of rules and regulations ... some people need order/structure in their lives while some do not ...
