I'm voting for Hillary, matter of fact, already did
She wont' quit. If she isnt' the democratic candidate she's going to bring the entire democratic party down with her. She can't recognize the fact that she's lost.
Just because I sent it to more than one person does not mean it wasn't a sincere attempt to reach out. Sheesh. Why do you think I would even bother? At the time, a lot of you guys were down on Nader and I wanted you to see that he was about supporting the same things you guys do. I wanted you to see how small movements and efforts do make a difference. I thought we could come together because we all have common ground on these issues. It wasn't an attempt to change your mind but to understand where I'm coming from and show you how we're all in this together. I don't understand how me sending it to others takes anything away from it. I guess I should have put that I forwarded it to others in the pm...but it was out of sincere respect and mutual feelings that I figured we all shared.

then why have those mutual feelings and respect disapperaed? just because we haven't, in fact, changed our minds? this is what i don't get, and before you start screaming at me for addressing you in a thread, i just want to say that NONE of this was EVER directed at you personally. if i said anything to piss you off, please accept my apology, but honestly, you are being a bit hysterical, imo. i thought we were allowed and encouraged to disagree here, or has that changed?
let's remember that i really started this thread to point point out that some of the people who used to start a new ron paul thread every 6 seconds were now starting anti-obama threads with almost the same frequency. yes, i was being a pain in the ass, but drifting and roland seem to be handling it okay, they know i'm a pain in the ass. why are you taking it so personally??

The sentiment of "they aren't going to win anyways so...oh well" is a defeatist attitude . Yes.
no, that would only be true if a) i WOULD vote for nader if i thought he'd make a good president, and b) if i actually DIDN'T like obama. both of those don't apply here.
while i DO think nader is a good guy, i don't think i'd vote for him even if he DID have a chance of winning because of the simple fact that he has no governing experience. it's wonderful to have lofty ideals but in order to get things done in government, you need to know how to navigate the waters, and i really don;t think a person who's never even been MAYOR can do that effectively. the other reason is that i really DO like obama. i'm not saying he's perfect, and he wasn't even my first choice. but of the FOUR candidates running right now- obama, clinton, nader and mccain- i truly think obama is the best person for the job. if that conflicts with your opinion, that's okay! 'cause this is america.
