I don't think the process cannot be stopped without enacting strict military rule at this point. We'll see some additional indication in 11 days of what will begin to happen over the next year.
Roland I think that is a bit far fetched. If Paul does win the Republican nomination and the Presidency I highly doubt he will be assassinated. If you think about it many people, and even corporations, would gain from him being president."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -

A lot more than any of us on this board as far as protecting our liberties and the constitution."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -

I think eventually Ron Paul supporters will favor starting an agricultural community in Guyana. I'm all for it.0 -

It means that the man has constantly fought for civil liberties, the restoration of government back to the way it was intended by the constitution, and reducing uneccesary government spending of our tax dollars. That is more than any one of us on this board can say, or any other politicians for that fact."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -

I agree...and on top of that, as a congressman in Texas each of the 10 years he has served, at the end of the year he RETURNED THE EXTRA MONEY LEFT OVER FROM HIS BUDGET. THATS what he has done, he has proven that a government agency can spend within its means and be effective.0 -

Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.
and then there's this beauty
I am also the prime sponsor of HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life. This is a practical, direct approach to ending federal court tyranny which threatens our constitutional republic and has caused the deaths of 45 million of the unborn.
All of this info came from Ron Pauls webpage. Sounds like a real candidate Pearl Jam would give their support too...
And most of it is based on the constitution...such a shame isnt it? Why would anyone want to enforce that thing, huh?0 -
ledvedderman wrote:Do you think a Congress would let all of these things happen. Wouldn't something like eliminating the federal reserve have to go through Congress? If it doesn't have to, don't you think they'd pass something before he could do it to limit his power in that decision? He could veto it, but I'm positive there would be an veto proof Congress that would override that in a heartbeat.
Just thinking out loud.
Hrm...
First priority, elect a President with some balls that understands what the Constitution is about and will enforce it.
Second priority, elect Senators and Congressman that will support the President.
Third priority, get rid of the corporate control of government and call out all the stooges for what they are.No need to be void, or save up on life

Ron Paul has no chance to be elected and if he does he has no chance to even make the changes he speaks about. But at least he expresses his ideas and it gets people thinking about stuff, and making people think can only be good.
There is always a chance...and that chance right now if FAR better than the chance he had 12 months ago.No need to be void, or save up on life

Yup, I love the "he has no chance" crowd that likes to ignore that he has raised close to $11,000,000 from almost 125,000 individuals in this quarter alone. Sounds like a ton of people are ready to give him the chance by voting for him.
I mean dont get me wrong, Romney raised $17M...but the only problem there is that it all came from his own personal checking account, so it really tallys up to just one vote...not the 125,000 that Paul has. Although there is already enough video proof that Romney is buying votes in straw polls, so I guess I shouldnt rule that out.0 -
Not even to mention the grassroots organization is incredible. There are many different state rules for being able to vote in the nomination and even more rules concerning delegations, but the Ron Paul campaign has SO many dedicated knowledgable volunteers that there are few stones left unturned. No need to be void, or save up on life

I'm talking later on when he starts putting the screws to people and organizations. . There's some invisible mafia types that do not care for RP's style. He could quite likely encounter an accident by taking on such bold measures, and it wouldn't be the first time it's happened.
The guy has some serious cahones.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

He doesn't support it, but agrees it should handled at the state level not the federal level. The guy was an obgyn and delivered 4000 babies...give him a break. So you have to go to the next state to get your abortion (or your state adopts it) ...big whoop... the end of the world it is not...Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
