I think it's fair to say that a large portion of his campaign stems from him being against the war from the very beginning.

From there it pretty much blossoms out into every other Democratic candidate with his own twist on it.

The APPEAL of Barack Obama though is that he seems to be a once in a generation candidate. Someone that can bring both sides of the aisle together to get some real work done if elected. If Hillary Clinton it would just be four more years of brutal partisan bickering in Washington because of the Repubs hatred for anything Clinton.

this country is in pretty bad shape if the PRIMARY requirement for our leader is simply that he be a smooth talker, who can sing songs with his words.

People need to understand, at a FUNDAMENTAL level, what it means to be pro-welfare, or pro-subsidization, etc.

You can't just get all excited because someone promises you "help when you need it" and "reaching out to both sides of the aisle."

If BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE ARE FUCKED, you need to GET RID OF THEM, not reach out to them.

People need to be looking to utterly replace the buffoons in office all over this nation, not support thier "reform". They WILL NOT CHANGE.

    Obama will not change them.
He will not change much of anything, as a matter of fact ...

    EXCEPT THE IMAGE,
which people here and all over america are guffawing over.

    It's pathetic.

    I understand people want hope.
And i understand Obama TALKS THE TALK.

But i am willing to bet money that he walks just as crooked as MOST or at least HALF of them.

ALl the assholes who keep saying "Ron Paul is no fucking Messiah" ... "he isn't jesus" ... well NEITHER IS OBAMA> AND NEITHER WAS KENNEDY!

Although at least Kennedy supported GOLD BACKED CURRENCY (but on the other side, he seeming was hooked on his little VIETNAM "war") ...

Oh so since you are willing to bet, it must be true?

But since you have all the answers, what are you doing about it? Running for local office? We need this HUGE chance on both sides right? You leading the charge in your community or are you just here to talk shit and just sound like you have an ounce of credibility?

With all due respect (which is to say, not much is due), you are talking out your ass.

Your oversimplified analysis is well off the mark from Ron's stances.

And if you think illegal immigration is something that should be tolerated, than i have no respect for your opinions anyhow.

Having sympathy for people is important. But having respect for the soverignty of this country and the right of the american citizens to be the FIRST IN LINE for their own fruits is a trump to sympathy for illegal foreigners. Oh boo hoo. The poor mexicans, they come here because we pay them, but then we want to kick them out. Oh boo fucking hoo.

As for discontinuing all talk with other countries? WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?! RON PAUL GOT BOOED BY YOUR ILLEGAL FUCKING "MEXICAN" BUDDIES FOR SAYING "WE SHOULD TALK WITH CUBA, NOT BAR TRADE WITH THEM" ... YOUR IGNORANT LITTLE "MEXICAN" BUDDIES WHO HOLD A GRUDGE AGAINST CASTRO, BECAUSE HE IS A DICTATOR (not saying their hate isn't warranted, but you are the one saying you want to talk to other countries, but people like you and your mexican friends are the ones BOOING when someone stands up and calls for it) ...

HE FUCKING GOT BOOED FOR STANDING UP AND SAYING LETS TALK, NOT HOLD GRUDGES ...

Again, YOU, and your uninformed opinions are part of the fucking problem.

People on here are proving themselves daily to be more ignorant than i had EVER imagined.

And to MasterFramer, wtf ever. I'm doing my part, and i'm not gonna get in a pissing match over who is more of a patriot. And if you get your little obama-man, well we'll just have to wait and see how he turns the beat around.
That is, IF he gets the nomination. If not, are you gonna back Hillary as our savior?

Well you have it all figured out right...? the answers to the world's problems? We according to you, are all idiots and have no idea what we are voting for. I figured such a genius on the world of politics would be running for a local position in thier community. Run for office, do something about it. You rant on here all day about Ron Paul, do you rant and scream at people you come across in the real world about Ron?

i just want to know where we're going to get the money to pay for his 287 billion dollars in additional spending. He's got some good ideas and he is energetic and engaging, but are up for just more empty promises? Is an additional 287 billion even feasable to do? People it seems want to ignore some of these questions and only look at the ideas, which prob will never come to fruition. The dems ran on honest leadership, real restraints, energy independence, economic prosperity, universal healthcare, and secure retirement. How many have been done...the democratic web page just has examples of misuse by the repubs but hvae nothing, aside from the 2007 auto standards, to claim as even close to fullfillilng those promises. Everyone has nice ideas but know one really has any clue on how to get them done, while not bankrupting our country.

    Easy there, Tonto.
I'm ignorant because Ron Paul wants to give more money to a dictator? You lash out angrily at me because you want to be first in line in front of illegals, and yet you're not against trading with a country where their leader takes want he wants to gives out what's left to the people?
And the point I was making was that Ron Paul only wants to converse through other countries THROUGH CORPORATIONS, which you proved my point by pointing out that he wants our CORPORATIONS to trade with whomever they want. I'm not saying it's good or bad, but trying to debunk my statement by supporting it doesn't make sense.

And no, I don't think rounding up and deporting twelve million people while leaving our children's educations in the hands of privately funded corporations is the right priority.

Anyway, thanks for taking a facetious comment I made and making unbelievably hostile comments. Good job. Yell and scream instead of calmly making your point.
    Thanks.

i think your just pissed because when RP speaks he sounds like Bush speaking through voice changing software. Mumble mouth motherfucker. So now the ability to actually convey a message in an articulate manner that engages people is a flaw? Please This is the dumbest knock i've heard on Obama (and it isn't just you). Thats how a leader is supposed to speak. Have you listened to him. Tell RP to get his hands off your ears while your blowing him and maybe you will actually hear what the man is saying and realize there is plenty of substance to go with the eloquence.

Do you think it's b/c people see him as a nicer guy and has a less threatening agenda therefore people will invest in our economy again? If Obama and the congress do approve more money being spent and they don't cut spending anywhere how can the value of our dollar climb, especially since a lot of our manufacturing jobs are going overseas and we keep borrowing money from other countries? I like Obamas charisma but I'm very skeptical of his plans and the consequences of them.

yep, as much as i think Obama's ideas are somewhat Utopic I also have to concede that Ron Pauls ideas (and I like a majority of what he stands for) have a built in assumption of corporate and personal goodness.

  • I will say this about Obama...

and this is both a great thing and a scary thing.

I dont vote democrat. I just rarely do. Most of their policies and ideas go against my personal beliefs. (no condescending "please explain..."- thanks, this is about the appeal of obama.)

However, I watch Obama speak and he gets me fired up to support shit i dont even support. He is a fantastic salesman, and that ability to arouse emotion and passion would probably do a lot of the "uniting" you hear about, both with the legislature and leaders of other countries. He appears to be a leader in the truest sense of the word- my only concern would be what he would be leading us to.
