Chauncey was one of the "three tramps" found out in the rail yard hidden in a boxcar just after the JFK assassination.
Chauncey was a guy who got invovled with the mob at a young age, and then before the government threw him in jail was offered a "job" with the CIA -- working for them under contract, but not on their books as an employee.
The guy was responsible for, among many other things, making false identifications and was privy to the order for "secret service" lapel pins that came in just before Kennedy's trip to Dallas.
These were the pins used by false agents all over Dealey plaza, where MANY witnesses testified to seeing SS agents with pins and identification, but to which the SS itself claims NO agents were stationed in Dealey.
[He also supervsied the production of several false IDs for Oswald himself, including the very "Alex J Hidel" liscence that LHO was carrying in his wallet when he was arrested in Dallas]
Chauncey was also responsible for handing out two false identifications to the other two tramps -- one of whom was a CIA (getaway, presumably) and the other who was Woody Harrelson's father, a known assassin.
However, what Chauncey was actually told regarding his involvement for the day, was that he was to be a sort of "supervisor" watching over an alleged Pro-Castro group of Cubans who was going to be demonstrating in Dealey plaza as Kennedy drove through. Chauncey was supposed to make sure nothing got out of hand.
Of course, no such group was actually at Dealey.
But he WAS told that "if anything went wrong" to go back to the trainyard and hide in one of the cars that, from the outside, would appear locked but that he could open easily.
And of course EVERYTHING went "wrong" for Chauncey and he made book back to that box car.
And who did he find there?
The other two fellas he handed out false identifications too (they were ATF badges).
So then, when the cops found them, they pawned themselves off as ATF employees searching for illegal weapons on a mission, and were released without questioning.
AND TO ANY RESEARCHERS it would THROW THEM OFF THE TRAIL, because they would eventually figure out who Chauncey and Harrelson were, and they would be totally confused because neither of them really had shit to do with anything, they were just there, along with a good few other known criminial types, simply to muddy up the water.
SO YES, IT HAPPENS PLENTY.
PEOPLE ARE MISLED, COMPARTMENTALIZED and given "NEED TO KNOW" assignments. And they may be completely unaware of the true nature of their work.
