i think everyone should make an effort. i never said anyone shouldn't. and bozo can run for president if he wants. just because someone runs for president doesn't mean they're qualified. look at clinton.
i think everyone with a true message should be heard. BUT; with such a big issue; a uniform front will do a lot more then splinter groups. i've been trying to inform people about the food they eat and i do everything i can to get the message out. but i've joined with others and we're making progress. so much progress that ted turner (the owner of the largest buffalo herd in the us); has taken notice and is changing his practices.

there's a right way and a wrong way to get a message accross. splinter groups have no weight but if all the groups banded together; their voices would have to be heard. to pose a united front you must dismiss the extreemes and offer logical plans that can work. otherwise you're dismissed as a fanatic.
It starts with one person, though. It wasn't long ago that the "democratic" party and the "republican" party were new. They each started with one person talking to another. The men who signed the Declaration of Independence were definitely a "splinter group."

You don't have to dismiss any view as less than yours. You work together and unite by accepting that people see things so differently and use that effort to find common ground...not by ridiculing those who choose to express themselves in a different manner than you do. There is no one correct way...there's only your opinion of the correct way vs others who see things differently. Work with people, be humble and accepting...don't judge and use negativity and expect it to get you anywhere.
If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

bin ladin sure got his point accross on 9/11.

you started here with personal attacks and now you're saying be humble and work with people? i keep my opinions about you to myself because i don't believe this forum is the place to attack people. we state our opinions and the reasons for those opinions and we then debate those facts. it doesn't matter what i think of you.

i recall it as a nation of people banding together to attempt to form the perfect union and deciding to break ties with the crown. england attacked them and because they fought as one unit for the same cause; they won. if it wasn't for the organization of the movement and the inclusion of everyone; britian would have won.
small groups can do great things if they do it right.

You're now comparing Sheehan with Bin laden. Unreal.

How did I personally attack you? I pointed out irony between things you've said here. There was no attack.

Yeah, they accepted that there were differences between them and moved past that to make progress. I'm sure they didn't accomplish much by calling each other fanatics or media whores.

And Cindy Sheehan and co don't call themselves splinter groups, either. Odd how that works out.
