I know it is a hard pill to swallow Republicans, but look at the map. Rural America is generally less educated but overwhelmingly supports Republican candidates. Cities are typically filled with people who have attended or are attending universities. Logic, its an amazing thing and it is why people are shifting away from McCain now.

you are assuming I'm republican. Since we are throwing out some serious stereotypes, wouldn't it hold true that most lower class and minority citizens are democrats?

Half. Rural America isn't made up of as many minorities but it is made up of more lower class people than cities are.
