maybe you should read some of my post before you go shooting your mouth off

ok i know it's going to sound insenstitive, but reading this reminds me of a computer game.
thank god i don't live in US, phew. and if i ever have kids i'll advise them not to go there too, unless they ban guns.0 -
Byrnzie wrote:That wouldn't be a bad idea. Why should teenagers be allowed to walk the streets carrying knives? Khife crime in Britain - especially in London is a big problem right now. Practically every week now a kid gets stabbed to death over here.
that's bad as well, but at least person can escape from knife more easily than a gun0 -
Im still here wrote:How can you possibly compare any other Country with the good old U.S. of A.?
quite easily.. i count the number of dead and compare that against the number of dead PER CAPITA in my country and we absolutely fucking destroy you in that regard.. we win easily.. no contest... so thats how easy it is to compare... do you think america is incomparable? get a reality check...Im still here wrote:We are a breed all our own.........
Anyway Americans love their guns, good luck tryin to ban guns here, we're not like your Country, we actually fought for our Independence.
thanks for ignoring all the things we are better at than your country.. my country fought for its independence long before America was 'discovered'
willful ignorance
1. (idiomatic), also called vincible ignorance is a bad faith decision to avoid becoming informed about something so as to avoid having to make undesirable decisions that such information might prompt.oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -

And a college student who cracks, will not have the abilty to simply go and grab a gun and then go shooting people at random. It's just not possible over here. He would need to have his wits about him to find a gun. That's the difference. And it's a big difference.
I honestly dont think its as difficult as you make out. Its not as easy as the US, but its not difficult.People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.0 -

Some people need to read their history. "We are a breed of our own" is particularly funny.People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.0 -

dude you live in Glasgow, the give a gun away with 6 tokens from the Daily Record
seriously.. it might be easier in Manchester, London or Glasgow.. but nationally... its pretty much impossible to try and get a gun..oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -

Yeah, that's what i mean, mainly in cities its not that difficult. If you wanted one you could get one. Thankfully the kids about here just stab each other for fun rather than shoot each other!!People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.0 -

I'd actually like to see some figures of how many of the gun deaths in the U.S. were by Illegals or by people defending their life or property.
Not all gun deaths are suicidal maniacs, or even criminals.
There is such a thing as Justifiable Homicide........
and what about all the crimes that were avoided just because someone saw the business end of a rifle or pistol. No one could possibly keep statistics of this.
there's so many variables, I just don't think it's as simple as ban the guns and it will fix it.........PEARL JAM~Lubbock, TX. 10~18~00

1. The homicide rate for children in the United States was five times higher than that for children in the other 25 richest industrialized countries combined (2.57 per 100,000 compared with 0.51)
2. A firearm was reported to have been involved in the deaths of 1107 children; 957 (86%) of those occurred in the United States. Of all firearm-related deaths, 55% were reported as homicides; 20%, as suicides; 22%, as unintentional; and 3%, as intention undetermined. The overall firearm-related death rate among U.S. children aged less than 15 years was nearly 12 times higher than among children in the other 25 countries combined (1.66 compared with 0.14)
3. The firearm-related homicide rate in the United States was nearly 16 times higher than that in all of the other countries combined (0.94 compared with 0.06); the firearm-related suicide rate was nearly 11 times higher (0.32 compared with 0.03); and the unintentional firearm-related death rate was nine times higher (0.36 compared with 0.04).
Firearm-related Deaths
* Of all violent child deaths, a firearm was involved in 1,107 cases.
* Of all firearm-related deaths, 55% were reported as homicides; 20% as suicides; 22% unintentional; and, 3% undetermined intention.
* 86% of firearm-related deaths occurred in the U.S. The rate in the U.S. was 12 times the rate of all other countries combined.
* The rate for firearms-related homicide was 16 times higher in the U.S., the rate for firearms suicide was 11 times higher, and the rate for unintentional firearm deaths was nine times higher.
* Rates among other countries varied substantially, for example, there were no firearm-related deaths in five of the 26 countries. One of which was Scotland.
even wearing your "america is no.1" t-shirt and waving your flag around cant you see that the US has a huge gun problem... cant you see that? please answer this question with honesty for me.oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -

that report is 6 years old, it also says no-one was killed with a handgun... it also gives examples of air-gun crime, which is something we lump in with all gun crime..

I know that the kid that did the shooting was very messed up and caused a lot of fear and grief, but that said, I thought it was sad that the news clip said that his body was already cremated and the quote was, "there will be no memorial to celebrate his life".
I could only think of the fact that when he was born he had to have a family
be overjoyed. And when he was a little boy he had to have parents who played with him and songs he sang and the things he wanted to be when he grew up. etc. I just couldn't help but wonder when he fell off the face of the earth so to speak and become a killer.
I know he was a murderer and again, I know that he did horrible things but he was a young man, and although for all I know he was a nutcase, but is it tragic for someone to be him as well as the victims?Baby, You Wouldn't Last a Minute on The Creek......
Together we will float like angels.........
In the moment that you left the room, the album started skipping, goodbye to beauty shared with the ones that you love.........0
