I think what he's trying to get across to you ( though seemingly impossible) is that yes neither side was particularly on the ball before the attack, you compare a new administration only 8 months in their first term when they hadn't been attacked yet to an incompetent administration's actual reactions to attacks that took place over the course of 8 years is quite silly.
You cons whine and whine and whine about how the 'left' won't give Bush an ounce of credit, yet you do the same w/ the Clinton administration. I'm no champion of Clinton, but the hypocrisy is stunning. Incompetent? LOL. You may as well be describing the current adminstration.

8 years, 8 months, 8 days. It doesn't matter. AGAIN, the Bush administration was briefed on the al Qaeda threat and (to my knowledge) they did nothing. I could understand if they had taken some measures to protect the airlines, but they made no effort and you people give them a pass. Pathetic.

Bush & Co are definitely incompetent on certain things. The post-war Iraq planning bothers me a great deal and there is an arrogance that goes along with that, that I have no problem admitting to. Again, Bush made mistakes, Clinton made mistakes, but you are not being very honest with things to suggest that 8 years and 8 months are comparable.
    I'll keep taking punches
    Untill their will grows tired
  • of course both dems and cons make plenty of mistakes, but saying that the reason bin laden hasn't been captured is because of clinton's inadequacy is really pathetic. clinton certainly had his faults, but he didn't set out a mass-scale war with the objective of capturing americas #1 enemy, did he. bush did that, and therefore it is down to his poor strategies and lacklusture efforts that he is still at large.

so tell me miller, who are his friends? if you are trying to imply that there are connections between UBL and Iraq you certainly convinced me! or are you just generalising that all muslims are bin ladens friends, which i really hope you're not.

i want to see how the left in america reacts..will they be outraged if he is killed without ever being given a fair trial?

I'm not American but I am pretty 'left'. I don't think I will be outraged or mad... but I think he deserves a fair trial. He is after all still a human being and we humans have something called the Human Rights. So I also think he shouldn't be killed, tortured ...

I started this thread cause I'm pissed binLaden's still free. I don't give a flying fuck who's to blame for 9/11. I want something done, I want him captured. Any of you arguing Bush vs. Clinton know anyone who died in the Towers? I bet not.

If you want to continue your never-ending finger-pointing, be my guest, but that's NOT the point! Why is it that when we need some action done in the present administration, instead of getting it, we have to blame the past administration instead, or just change the subject? Is that getting anywhere? Really, people, you're beating down the wrong tree. We need to question the PRESENT administration, whether you hate them OR love them. Just don't be a blind follower and refuse to look at the issue at hand.

    Then, point out my flaws.
Ronald Reagan sold Chemical weapons to Saddam Hussein in the 1980 to fight the Iranians of Ayatollah Khomeni... True or False?
The Iraqi Army fired those weapons at advancing Iranian tank columns in Eastern Iraq... True of False?
Iranian soldiers died from that chemical warfare... True or False?
Iraqi soldiers are inept fucks and lazy as shit... True or False?
    ...
George H.W. Bush told the Kurds and Shi'ites to rise against the Hussein regime at the end of the 1991 Gulf War, assuring them that the coalition that had dealt a crippling blow to his military would back them up... True or False?
We failed to follow through with that promise... True or False?
Saddam's army was pummelled to shit... True or False?
Saddam Hussein used his chemical weapons on the Kurds to stem the revolt... True or False?
The No-Fly zones in Iraq were set up to protect the Kurds and Shi'ites from further air attacks by Hussein's remaining aircraft... True or False?
    ...
Please, correct me and tell me what actually happened.

    P.S.
Sorry, but you willing brought it up...
You are admitting that you evade paying taxes and that every other American that pays his fair share is carrying your sorry ass... AND... you have stolen the Identiy of another individual in order to commit fraud to other people who come into contact with you?
You don't pay taxes... you don't vote... because you are not who you say you are.... so, if you do vote, you are doing so in a knowingly fraudulent manner. If you DON'T pay taxes and vote... what gives you the privilege to criticise a government you do not participate in?
And... Aren't you the one I argued with about all of that Jesus stuff? How does Jesus feel about a liar and a cheat?

my corporation pays more in taxes in a month than you can possibly make in a year. that gives me the right. my CHOICE to become invisable is my choice. i see no need to pay personal taxes. what gives you the right to say anything about the us government when you don't pay taxes to the US? i understand you're canadian.

I wasn't responding to any of your posts. Do you know how to read English?

Bush's cabinet was briefed on the threat from Bin Laden. They did nothing. I don't understand why cons feel so secure with these idiots in Washington. They were no better than the Clinton administration in responding to Bin Laden until it was too late.

then let's talk about the threats and briefs from 1992 to 2001. the threats were broadcast via national tv yet nothing was done. when bush reacted to threats it was called theatrics. when he wanted to build security you called it bush scare tactics.
if you received a threat that someone is going to kill a family member; what would you do? what could you do? i can tell you that there is going to be a murder in NYC today. you have the information; now stop it. you know what and where so stop the murder. a gun will be used so now you know how. surely you can stop it now.

    WRONG!!!
I was born and raised and still live in Los Angeles, California. Probably as Angeleno as they come, being born in Our Lady, Queen of The Angels Hospital. I have Department of Defense security clearances and have worked on classified (now, de-classified) military projects. The Name on my badge is the same as the one on my Birth Certificate. I pay my taxes... I serve on Juries... I cast my ballots... I don't drive drunk. I'm a fucking Boy Scout if there ever was one. I pay for my part of the B-2 Bombers and the Interstate Highway system... I pay my fair share of the National Parks and their ranger's salaries... and I VOTE... That grants me the right to speak out for or against my government and the leaders I choose to put there.
I don't care about your corporation... many corporations are fronts for illegal, criminal enterprises. And I don't care about wealth or money... I get by... that's all i need. Money don't mean shit to me... that kind of bragging does not impress me.
You ADMIT to Tax Evasion, I never accused you of it. You ADMIT to using false (fraudulent) identity in order to remain "invisible". Tax evasion is a crime... no matter how you define it... it is on the books and is a crime. Taking on a false identity is also illegal. Ask any detective, Criminal behaviour usually means criminal activity.
And since you are not who you say you are... and you claim to have been in hiding for the past 9 years and do not want to get caught for avoiding taxes... you are surely not stupid enough to VOTE. And if you do vote under a false identity... THAT is a crime.
You admittedly don't pay personal taxes... and i assume you are not stupid enough to vote, because if you do, you know you are doing it illegally... That is my grivience. You do not participate in the political system, yet, you feel you have a voice in it. If you are not going to use the right to speak out and choose our leaders, your opinion on American political matters, to me... don't mean shit.

i resigned from public office in january 2006. i vote under my legal name and if the irs laws change to where i am required to pay personal taxes i will. i stopped the gay marriage bill by insisting that poligamists would be able to wed under that bill. you will soon be hearing about the need to make english the standard language of the country or require every school in the country to teach spanish; and; compensate those who attended schools that did not teach spanish. i'm more involved in american politics because i don't hold my tounge and i don't care what's politically correct.
    i never said i evaded taxes; i said i don't pay taxes. there's a big difference.

Wow, great things to be proud of.

If they do suddenly decide you have to pay taxes with your insane amount of money they will find you though! They will realize you aren't the dead guy in europe.

It probably isn't the most intelligent thing to post this stuff on a message board that logs your IP and at least has on record one email address you have or had access to.

if you must know; my IP changes constantly. i tap in via satellite and it shows that i'm in northern illinois. the serial number changes constantly so it's not tracable. the address on the email is 1234 main st. anytown usa. i'm sure that's a big giveaway. as long as i don't show personal income i don't have to pay taxes. neither does anyone else.

Every ISP, even those who use dynamic IPs, keeps logs of use. It doesn't matter what the address is on the email either, it is the IP address that accesses it. So, take your IP address see which ISP the address is used by, go through the logs of that ISP to see which customer was using the IP at that time. It leads to whoever pays the internet bill.

thanks for the info but you missed the point. there is no internet bill. it's like if i ran a cable wire from your house to mine. when the serial number keeps changing; so does the user recorded. my only point here is that a person can dissapear. that's it.

Well, if this guy can fool the U.S. Government... why wouldn't bin Laden?

I mean, onelongsong seems to be LIVING in the U.S...

I guess that answers the cream in the coffee/dilaisis paradox
