And the Magical Mystery Tour rolls on.

    Wright is an idiot.

Wright is hateful and full of that hate; that's not an opinion, his verbage speaks for itself.

Apparently Wright wants John McCain to be the next President of the United States.

Wright apparently thinks it's more important to magnify himself and the fact that he can speak 5 languages and dance a jig at the same time than it is to lessen the inevitable damage he continues to do to his dear friend's attempt to be something the likes of which this country has never seen before.

Roll on Reverend Wright with your Magical Mystery Tour.

no, but I find it funny that you, and others, claim every new member to be that person. what a joke.

I for one think it's pretty funny that the new insult around here is to call someone jlew.

I'm not an Obama supporter, and I'm not about to judge Wright, although I do agree with a lot of his so-called "controversial" remarks. Especially when you read or hear them in context.

Even his comment you mention above about bringing drugs into the black community has merit IMO.

The view that some people CHOOSE to use drugs rather than attempt to deal with their problems holds some merit, too. And yes, some of them are even black.

Why are all the worst people in America Reverends?
    Rev. Jesse Jackson
    Rev. Pat Robertson
    Rev. Al Sharpton
    Rev. Jerry Falwell
    Rev. Ted Haggert
Why don't we (Americans) finally come to the conclusion that anyone who is a Reverend is basically, a psycho and we need to STOP listening to what their opinions are?
The problem is they're extreme. I'm not making excuses for them cuz I can't stand religious nuts, but in this world sometimes it takes the extreme in order to get things done. It seems if you're on one extreme end of the spectrum it gives you more room to compromise.

Back to the jesus-freaks...I can't stand them. But most of the 'controversial' stuff coming from Wright is in his talks of peace. What rational human doesn't want peace? As someone mentioned, he rarely mentions god or jesus or whatever and they said he's not really a reverend because of it. Maybe that's why I've defended him a little bit on here...

Well, it's more about class than race, but when more black kids are poor and more likely to fall into those traps then it kinda makes sense.

I am not following your argument as to why you defend the guy, but hey ... Opinions do differ. Take some of the things he says and dial them down a bit, and yes, one can see some validity in what he is saying. But extremism never helps someone sound rational. It might make them sound like a crazy asshole, but rationality? That way involves the middle ground ... He may want peace, but he's using the same approach as the hawks in Congress ... Let's make peace by launching an all-out attack! Yes, that's a good plan. What person wants to hear that sort of attack? Others who are bitter and disordered, perhaps. Most people respond better to positive reinforcement.

    ...

    *Common misconception*^
Extremists dont accomplish anything but flame fanning, are you even thinking before typing?

All the great historical figures who "got things done" in a positive way were pacifists by nature. It took a tiny Black woman who firmly yet gently refused to give up her bus seat to a white man to really kickstart the civil rights movement, all the chest-thumping up to that point didnt come close to the power of that single act.

Yes, little miss 6 posts, I do in fact think before I type. Please don't attack people here.

And you may be right. But I see extremists sort of as a necessary evil. I don't agree with them, but they certainly do succeed at times in accomplishing their goals.

Are you actually giving yourself airs over higer post-count..how silly.
Is post count indicative of ones right to intellectual debate?

I may have thousands of posts on an actual political forum or may not.
Or maybe I was once a member here, or not, doesnt matter.

Get outside a bit more, child. :)

Nothing like well thought out and considered opinions which do the same. My credibility is solid. As are my opinions.

These people you list are activists with robes. All of them. We have a separation of church and state for a reason. This is why
