Most of us paul supporters KNEW OF THIS STORY GOING IN TO IT!
It was well above the consciousness of most of us who dug deep in to him before signing on. It is just the general public that is getting to hear about it again for the first time.
I weighed all this out, examined his record, and his speeches, and determined that it was a non issue ... for ME.
I believe him to be innocent of harboring any racist sentiment, and i think his record and speeches siting MLK show this to be true.
You can say we should own up and accept the title of "ass", but i knew this from jump, and it has not phased me one bit.

This was above board.
IT WAS AVAILABLE TO REVIEW PRIOR TO THIS HUGE MEDIA SMEAR ATTEMPT.
We see this for what it is, an attempt to SMEAR an honorable man with good intentions for our country by derrailing him on the ONE blemish his record holds ... a blemish which the man (who has been honest in EVERYTHING he has ever said publicly) denies to be his own words.
Not blind faith.
Accepted, acknowledged, and summarily dismissed.

So no one has ever answered my question, did Paul never actually read his own newsletter?
Surely his life can't be that busy.
And if he did read his own newsletter, why wasn't just a one time thing and not a series of newsletters that sometimes contained questionable content.
Like I said earlier if he actually read his newsletter and saw the first questionable article, why didn't he put a stop to it. And if there was a second questionable article, why didn't he just pull his name from it.
I'm just asking if any of you had a newsletter with your name on it that was sponsored by you, wouldn't you at least take the time to read it?
I ASK AGAIN>>> WHAT WOULD ALL OF YOU RP SUPPORTERS BE SAYING IF THESE NEWSLETTERS WERE BUSH'S OR ROMNEY'S, OR HUCKABEE'S?
YOU WOULD BE RIPPING THEM A NEW ASS... JUST AS I WOULD...
If they had Dr Paul's message??? what am I missing here? Even if it was proven beyond a doubt that he typed the words himself, I'd overlook it all in favor of the bigger picture of what he/they are actually trying to accomplish.
I'd also look at their track record as a huge indicator.
Weigh it out, and see what matters most. A couple of paragraphs of misguided text from some newsletter or the entire message itself.

Yep. i think you're right. i've reassessed the situation and determined this is nothing more than a "desparate" last ditch effort to slow down Ron Paul who was obviously running away with the election up to this point. i mean, wtf, he pretty much had the nomination all locked up until this blatant nonsense. Poor guy.

If you work at a restaurant (or anywhere for that matter) full time as the head cook (or manager etc), and you decide to go back to school full time, and someone burns the fries (fucks up a few times etc) while you're busy writing exams or attending classes, does that mean it's your fault, and never fit to work again?
There's only 24 hours in a day. How much free time do you think a full time doctor has?
I'm an exceptional judge of character, and I can say with full confidence Ron Paul does not have a mean bone in his body.
hey Roland, some times i disagree with you and sometimes a agree with you but i can't agree with what you just wrote. to begin with, your first point about burning fries is just plain dumb. there is a little difference between someone burning fries with a job because you are not there anymore and having a person writing racist comments that have you name on teh newsletter. do you see the difference, with your name on the newsletter you own that newsletter, if you were busy then take your name off the newsletter. while unless you are the owner of that store (or whatever) it is not your job to care abotu teh person working the fries section.
Secondly, who has stated that he should never work again. soem are just saying that maybe he should not be president.
Finally, how can you say that RP does not have a mean bone is his body, have you spent all your time with him, i understand that you like him but don't make it out to be a saint.
