Yeah because the French's 6+ years taking the absolute brunt of the German army's attack and the underground resistance movement sure as fuck didn't help anyone, right? Those french pussies couldn't even stand up to the FUCKING GERMAN ARMY.

So many stupid, stupid things have been said against the French in America. The attitude makes no sense and defies history every chance it gets. Also makes anyone ranting about how the french 'wimped out in ww2' (etc..) look like a jackass.

The streets of France were lined with french bodies during WW2. I'll never forget that fact, the french tried their damndest to fight off the invasion.

    so like i said...

"Simple. We are hate mongers...it took me three posts to get to that...that's the answer I'm guessing you're looking for? so let's just agree to agree."

does this thread have any other point than this?

The point of this thread isn't to bash Americans. Dude, it was a question, why there is so much animosity towards the french in America?

No, that is what the point was. There isn't any animosity towards the French in America. Animosity? seriously? Do you honestly think we are sitting here stewing over the reasons to hate the French?

I could ask why so animosity towards the U.S. in France. It's obivous, we have different views on where the world is headed.

Animosity equates to hate...and maybe 70% of us will crack a French joke here and there, does that actually mean we HATE the French? and that we that we have some sort of animosity towards them? Just because some idiots started a freedom fries campaign...listen...our media LOVES to portray us as hateful people....and like to extrapolate from some idiot on capitol hill to the entire population.

in other words, there is no animosity towards the french here. animosity towards president tom of iran yes, towards the french, no.
And you ask me what I want this year

Was that a difficult thing to say? That you don't think there is animosity towards french in America? Why do you have to assume this is an Anti-American thread and why do I automatically have to be Anti-American?

no, there is not significant animosity towards the french in the U.S.

You are automatically "anti-U.S" as you so elloquently put it because you assume this to be the truth. I'm guessing that there are a lot more French that view the U.S. as an enemy than vice versa. Maybe it'd be more productive to start a thread questioning why so many of the French have so much animosity towards the U.S....because that's where your original question is geared towards, so why not cut through all the bullshit and get to your point?

I've whitnessed it on this forum. Just read Last Exodus' posts, those are some of the most racist statments I've read in regards to the french.

Oh and I'll remember I'm "Anti-American" when I'm in detroit next month, or when I talk to my family that lives in the U.S.A.

Give me a break, man I am so sick of your labelling on this forum. Guys like you and Exodus go around calling people Nazis as if the term is meant to be used lightly. It's sickenening. and who pays the price? People like me who get fed up with it and call you out on it.

First of all, last exodus is an idiot.

secondly, can you point to any instance where I called someone a nazi? All I'm doing here is calling you out on your labeling. I don't like labeling b/c I'm a right wing nut job who really doesn't have ANY conservative friends. Seriously, my family are right wing whackos, but all of my friends and co-workers are not so. Trust me, I know your point of view. Have you noticed how many times you labeled yourself as "anti-american" compared to the times I called you that (which is 0). you guys call yourself "anti-american" more than anyone else!

to the point of the thread, people in the U.S. don't hate the french. They are frustrated with france's inability to understand the world as it exists, and their naive world view. does that mean we have animosity towards you? no. so don't label us as hate-filled war mongers. how about addressing our differnces instead of labelling us?

I didn't label myself anti-american and I didn't label all americans anti-french. I simply asked the question "Why is being french bad in the US?" because I've seen this repeatedly on television and on this forum.

That's it, why do you have to keep putting words in my mouth?
