There's an acoustic version of Corduroy floating around here somewhere, that's where my vote goes.

    Insignificance!!!!
I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!

Is there an unwritten law that the song must be a Pearl Jam song?

Because when I read the question, the first and only song that come to mind was Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's "American X".

9 minutes of fuzzed out, fabulous guitar and bass to die for!

If it's not a Pearl Jam song, then any Beatles song, with the exception of The Long & Winding Road (The Long & Boring Drone).

But it looks like it's supposed to be a PJ song, so that would be Black for me, although I couldn't get SOLAT out of my head all day yesterday.

1996 Bridge School or 1997 Tibetan Freedom Concert are the best versions of Corduroy.

None really, that's just too much :)

but if there was one it would probably be Corduroy.

    Parachutes for me!! ;)

I have major love for that song too. I've done a few marathon listening sessions of that one and also Wishlist.

In the non-PJ realm, my favorite fixations are Hey Jude (Beatles) and Jealous Guy. John Lennon's original is beautiful, but there are very good covers by Bryan Ferry, Black Crowes and yes, even Rod Stewart.
