Unprecedented Muslim call for peace with Christians

  • We didn't like those people so we dropped bombs on them and decided to take over their country.

The lines are blurring badly here
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

straight off the top of my head... dead abortion doctors. Although I know there's MUCH better than that, it's the first thing that came to mind.

thats all you got? I figured since it was funny you would have more off the top of your head. even this was hard pressed.
  • bombs for jesus.... both sides

manipulation, political influence, and intimidation? wow where is the force?

muslims use the sword, or stoning, or hanging, or torture, or car bombs....what a fucking joke this place has become.

I think Christians have probably used most of these at some point in time ^^^

Do I need to post a dozen links to the wonderful deeds of Rev. Fred Phelps and merry followers?

First of all, if you go back and read my posts in chronological order, you would realize my comments were pertaining to all religions. I never singled out Christians in this thread, whatsoever.

It was 810wmb who became defensive and singled out and focused on Christians. Then you jumped in to defend your faith, when in fact it was not being attacked. Seems you do protest too much.

The only bullshit here is you. But since you want to bring it up, there are Christians on this planet, right now, who are engaged in violent acts in the name of their religion. Google it, you'll find it.

since when do Christians use force to make believers out of someone?

the crusades ( alot less than 1800 years ago). the genesis debate in public schools.

if you mean force as in physically killing people... it's on the wane. but that's not what the original post said. it said christians don't force their beliefs. oftentimes they do. maybe they don't often use force to force their beliefs, but they are forcing nonetheless.

There's no probably involved here. They used all of those and still do.

In fact, many of the Blackwater mercenaries are devote, self-proclaimed warriors of Jesus.

see thats the difference. I would need to dig deep and far to find some stories of Christian wackos who use force and death to push their agenda.

entire countries in the middle east use force and death to push islam today.

    got it now??

So why do the bother to write history jlew? So people like you can point and say let's keep it to the present. The holocaust was a while ago, who really cares about that? You know it is only history. And using your logic didn't happen to me, so who should really have to be reminded about it like it happened yesterday.

Oh by the way boy, they weren't called the Christian Crusades because they were promising their way of life by handing out roses.
You've changed your place in this world!

the crusades. the genesis debate in public schools.

that was 1000 years ago. its not practiced today. can we move on now from the crusades debate.

there's a strong argument (and this letter reinforces it) that they are still ongoing as represented by our activities in iraq. it's a weak argument, but a legit one. in any case, as i pointed out 2 posts ago, the laughter was at the original post which said nothing about physical force. the original post just said christians don't force their beliefs. no mention of physical force. they may not be as overtly violent as some branches of islam, but if you think christians aren't out there forcing their beliefs on people, then you are deluded.

ps. missionaries were murdering natives in latin america and forcing them to convert less than 500 years ago. there was also the genocide of native americans continuing up until just a shade over 100 years ago... and if you don't think religion was part of that one you're nuts. they had to civilize the godless savages or get them out of our god-given manifest destiny.

no that's far from all I've got... as sundaysilence mentioned and as I thought would be too GLARINGLY obvious... we've got 800 years of evidence to the contrary right here in my own country :( . Christians don't force their views on others?

    Again:

    Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

try saying it to someone who doesn't know any better and maybe they won't laugh so hard. It's like an English person saying to us 'if it wasn't for us you'd be speaking German right now'... well how about 'if it wasn't for you I'd be speaking my OWN language right now' :(

c'mon jlew surely YOU don't even believe what you're saying in this thread?

Either way, Christians use force as well. And the fact that Muslims do it in larger numbers really doesn't excuse that.

And then there's the non-physical force...

I'm not even christian. I'm barely a catholic. I dont care for religion. I'm just trying to get some clarification as to why everyone started jerking off but 810 said christain dont use force.

thats a fact, christians dont use force. I was always taught to respect all religions and practice whatever you want. am I just a lucky one???

is it just as laughable to say muslims dont use force??? now thats funny.

You didn't read what I intially wrote. You are assuming. It was you who took this discussion in this direction.

Hmmmm.....a gay man was just recently beaten to a pulp, by Jesus loving thugs; because he was a homosexual. It was all over the news.

Now do your own research and read. You can't possibly be an honest man if you can't acknowledge that Christians do push their religion on others, through several different methods; which does not exclude violence.

no christians dont use force. did they 1000 years ago? yes.

I was always taught to respect other religions. how did I get so lucky?

what is the penalty for not being a christian? nothing

what is the penalty for being a non believer in some muslim countries. death.

feel free to read like an adult and point to me where 810 said christians don't use force. the laughter was inspired by an entirely different statement. one i notice that you keep ignoring as i've pointed it out several times and you ignore it becos you know you can't refute it i assume.

It says nowhere in the koran about flying planes into buildings either  that's what you lot forget. How come if a Christian does something wrong in the name of god, he's the exception. But if a Muslim does something wrong in the name of allah, it's on behalf of the entire religion?
