If there was a reason, it was you0 -
My wife and I are both Aussies, living in Adelaide, and I'm very happy to say that we both cried at Obama's speech.
What a beautiful moment for your country and the world. I am so pleased for you Americans and the world. It's about time, and I believe this is a truly historic day... truly...
People will remember Obama's election 'yes we can' speech just like they remember and look back on MLK's 'I have a dream' speech.
God bless you all.
God bless America and all nations.I've got a Gibson without a case, but I can't get that even tanned look on my face...0 -

change isn't always for the best and don't expect too much of it.
this douche-bag voted in favor of the patriot act, military commissions act,the billion dollar bail out of wall street crooks (etc. etc.)
i wonder how long it will be before Ed starts writing songs about Obama and how we need to get rid of him in 2012
(not that McCain was any better)0 -
Let's give it up to Indiana for turning blue for the first time since '64... This makes me so happy!0
-
people can snipe at him and niggle at a few of his policies, but it seems people are united in their opinion that this man is a huge step in the right direction and a change for the good...
Times have certainly got more exciting, and from what I've seen Obama has rightly wiped the floor with his opponent0 -
This is truly an amazing feeling!!! I expect some great changes in the coming years!!!!!!!!This too shall pass.....0

Once he assumes office - if he is 'permitted' to shine - we may not only bare witness to, but take part in, a genuine renaissance (both South and North of the border) - the likes of which nobody, or nation, has ever seen! Obama IS A GREAT MAN! Just sit back and watch... Furthermore, NOW look at his credentials... staggering and ingenious!!
This country is now headed in the right direction.

sshhhhhhh!! they don't want to hear the truth..they just want to enjoy their illusion.
don't worry, after a year or two of Obama they will be forced to wake up and realize he's no different from the rest of the swine in DC.0 -

I'm sad. But I definitely won't show this president the kind of hate displayed by many people towards Bush. I hope that the right in this country will show respectful dissent. being an American isn't about being thankful i have slightly more freedom than someone in China!! fuck that! if people around the world wanted to be free they would get off their ass and fight for it like the fore-fathers did in this country. But the problem with that is the CIA has done all they can to quell any attempt by any 3rd world country to achieve a free society.
most of the freedoms Americans enjoyed at one time are gone or are severely damaged!!
i read through most of the patriot act and it's a Constitution killer!!
you may think you have a certain right to do something until you actually try to do it0 -
