and we (used to) have a lot of great ideas about true democracy.

And our kids and their kids, and the kids in other countries, deserve to know what true democracy could have been like.

Because reason should rule this planet, and for a little while longer, it might have a chance.

don't be so doom and gloom. look at the entire history of the planet. there's never been a better chance :) we are so prosperous that we are inventing our own demons. damn, our grandparents are probably pissing on us :)
And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
Cuz I don't need boxes wrapped in strings
And desire and love and empty things
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days

    Our elected officials are dumb.
All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.

So if a Texas republican can quote a KKK founder and get away with it, can Bush quote Hitler and get away with it?

I personally would love to hear Bush talk about "Retaining the essential and forgetting the non-essential." Of course that would require Bush to have a bit of knowledge on history. Which, in turn, would require that he could read. So...never mind.

OH WAIT...he was reading when the planes flew into the buildings of the companies he short-sold...reading to elementary kids...now I remember. How could I have forgot.

EDIT: I read the wikipedia entry on Poe. I like him. Creative sentencing for the win! Who would have thunk there was a smart, innovative republican?
