    Polls change.
  • will it make much of a difference?
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

so like most kool aid drinking republicans you are going to ignore the massive Government expansion and spending under Reagan/Bush1/Bush2

while at the same time ignore the shrinking of the government/balanced budget by the Clinton administration

as much as i would hope for this to be true, i have to say that i would not count my chickens before they hatch. this can change as soon as tomorrow if palin has a good showing in the debate tomorrow. if she comes off as even vaguely coherent the gop base could become energized again.

Right there with you, buddy. It's like 1984. They use the media as a tool to brainwash people.

"Change! Change! Change! Change! Change! Change!"
I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely, its ability to act tempered by prudence, and its willingness to do good, balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us.

I couldn't agree more. I absolutely would not be counting my chickens before they hatch.

I cannot find common ground with Palin on anything, but there are many out there who thinks she is the bees knees.

Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.

I see what you're saying, and you're not exactly wrong. But there are some differences, the ones due to these mens personalities. I thought that meant shit, but my new president taught me it in fact does. Maybe the US will have smoother foreign relations. And if something big goes down one day, chances are Obama will not react like McCain who will probably not react like Bush would have. The main direction may not be that different but depending on who they elect we'll definitely see some changes.

At roughly the same time (you know, some time ago), I guarnteed McCain would win this election and I still stand by that.

I hope your right (and you probably hope I am right), but we'll see who is kidding themselves, I guess. ;)

I was kinda hoping for the girls gone wild edition of Obama. Nearly everything looks better in a wet tshirt.
