Religions were invented solely for my amusement. What would there be for me to laugh at if there were no men dressed as penguins and women dressed as postboxes walking the earth?
  • People are destroying the world, not religion.
  • Welcome to politics. Now take a side and shuff your beliefs down the other persons throat! :p

this has nothing to do with "politics". this is religion at its worst. good vs. evil.

it just depends on what religion you are to which is the good side.

People use so called technological advances to destroy the world even faster than religion ever did.

  • why do people who don't believe in religion always talk about it? you don't want anyone preaching religion to you; yet you constantly preach your "non-religion" every chance you get. let people believe what they want.

the extremist factions of the religions in question (jews, muslims, christians) have taken over and are leading the world into chaos.

i'm sick of hearing Chrisitans hear talk about "those crazy muslims" while their leaders refuse to admit global warming is real.

and i'm sick of muslim leaders saying the pope should step down (or be killed) for what he said when they preach nothing but hate for other religous groups.

and I'm sick of the Jews and their "what about me?" attitude when it comes to their oppression of Palestine.

    i've fucking had it!

to think there are sooo many sheep that just follow this BS just boggles the mind...but I'm guessing humans just need to be in a group...in a pack...just like animals.....and depending on where you were hatched determines what pack your in...sooo many sheep....sad sad sad...

but think about this....we as a civilization are progressing....with TV and the internet..the religeous "deciders" will eventually be seen for what they are...unfortunately not in our lifetime...but soon.

cause it affects us...loss of tax dollars...freadom of speach....our children forced to listen to prayers...to God Bless you 20 times a day...thousands of real innocents being killed for BS......thats why...and we're just baffled how so many people continue to believe in this shit and use it to justify killing.....called venting.

this type of talk (religion doesn't kill people, people do) is all semantics, and taking away from a serious issue facing the world.

Then show me a single case where a religion has killed anyone. I'm pretty sure there's always a person doing the killing, usually with a weapon created by science.

    semantics.

religion is the driving force behind what is happening today, as well as the crusades, holocaust, and countless other atrocities.

and what you say effects us; our freedom of speach and the freedom to believe what we want. thus you have answered your own question of why wars break out over religion. oppression is met with violence.
religion is between a man and his God. what man does beyond that is not religion. then again; i'm willing to fight to protect my freedom.

i have absolutely no problem with people praying around me, or saying God Bless you, or even hanging up the ten commandments outside a courthouse.

BUT, if you can't show preferential treatment to one religion. once you open Pandora's box on separation of church/ state, it will be too late. Christians can;t coem whining that muslims are praying in schools, or Johova's Witnesses are walking you kids high school campus. Or Scientologists preaching from the courthouse steps.

christians can't have their cake and eat it too. they should be careful what they wish for!

i don't believe i ever mentioned christians. i was referring to religion in general. all rivers lead to the sea as all religions lead to God.

pray before you go to pulblic school...pray before you go to the publicly sponsored ball game...and don't force your values on me...see we're on the same side....I'm all for religion if it makes you a better person...just don't force me or my family to llisten to it...very simple really...

now the truth...not for you specifically as I don't know you...but for the masses of Christians in American..they want to make this a Christian country and will impose thier christian values, thoughts and traditions on as many people as they can...covert....thats the problem.

They want to impose their values only to the same extent that you want to impose your values. The only difference is that non-religious people jump up and down and chant "Seperation of religion and state" while demanding that their values are adopted.

Debating the actual merits of the values doesn't seem to register with many people any more.

true true......fortunately most Christian values align with mine....but some?!?!?! Intolerance..etc....those are just mean...and mean people suck.

To the heart of my post.....and I am one that jumps up and down when forced to listen to voodoo (-: don't force your ramblings on me. Also when my freedoms are limited....due to the insecurity of others...well I'm jumping jumping.....(-:

Also.....about people like me.....you can do what ever you want in you house...as long as it doesn't hurt other people..go at it....thats not the case with the "other side". Again not directed at you...but...my fellow Christian Texas neighbors...yes. Hell we still can't buy beer before Noon on Sunday...and no liquor....just a couple examples......their values forced on me.

    Peace.
