VOTE DAMIEN ECHOLS/ POLITICAL CAUSE

The votes matter. Each vote pushes his name up there for more people to become aware.

Do what you have been doing best, show your support. You may vote every hour. I want to see his name in the top 10. Please help make more people aware of this special cause. Michale Graves does his part why shouldn't you?

This is a real, actual, sad cause that needs addressed. Injustice has overcame the truth. It may not be much but as many times as most of log on to myspace, how hard would it be to click on over to myspace profile awards and vote. Not much if you ask me.

Please, do your part and keep doing what you all do best, show your support for the freedom of the three.

It might not be much but at least you know you might have done your part in giving them back their lives.

Please vote.....this link should take you directly there.

Thank you all.

Well, perhaps it is that pesky little thing called a "conviction", which followed a trial by jury.

Now I'm a big fan of innocent until proven guilty. By the same token once proven guilty, he's guilty until proven innocent, which hasn't happened yet. Did he do it? I don't know. The system says so. I know there are lots of questions, some shady evidence, some hick law enforcement / judicial staff involved. But when posters above call him a murderer, well, they're correct at this point.

I'll turn your post back to you. Do you know he's not guilty because you were there?

What does this sentence mean in the context of what I just posted? I honestly don't understand this post.

i didn't say he is not guilty. no one really knows except the few that were there, not even 'the system'. i've done some reading in the past on the whole story and from that it's not 100% clear one way or the other. those that posted above aren't correct, they are just making conclusions on what they have heard/read...or just because 'the system' says so it must be.

give me a break. i didn't make my decision based on "the system" telling me they're guilty. i haven't read every single word written about this case, but i've read/heard/seen enough to come to the conclusion that the three of them murdered those children. when i first heard about this case, i went back and forth on what i thought happened. at the end of it all, it's just too much in the favor of them committing this crime. and don't ask me for specifics, i've argued about this topic here too many times in the past.

seriously, i wonder how many people wouldn't give 2 shits about this case if ed wasn't so taken with it. i'm not saying all people are deep into this case because of ed, but come on, now. everyone sees there's a large group of people around here that takes what ed says as gospel.

  • even if he didnt do it, i hardly consider this to be the best political cause

and as the above poster stated: thinking echols is guilty = voting for bush
    yeah. brilliant.
    saw things so much clearer
  • Wow, just reading Wiki, and it notes that he co-wrote the lyrics to Army Reserve. Not a huge fan of the new album, but I did like that song. One of the weird things about the song, and its lyrics, is that they're rather apparent and straight forward - which stands in contrast to some of Ed's other songs.

One thing that I always think about is that those types of crimes are usually committed over and over until the person(s) are caught. There weren't anymore committed similarly in that area after they were arrested.

I think your assesment is a little off. I dotn see it as a serial crime, i see it more as a vengeful killing.

well duh, i can't say that i'm absolutely 100% correct, i wasn't there...but the judicial system came to the same conclusion i did and from the last info i got, every appeal has been turned down since then. are you going to tell me that every single person that has been involved in prosecuting these kids and every judge that's had a part in these cases just want to put these kids away because they wore black coats and listened to metallica?

seriously, i'm tired of arguing this topic with the empty skulls around here (not pointing at anyone in particular). bottom line: they murdered 3 children. they're in jail for it, where they belong. echols will be put to death sometime in the future. i say not soon enough.

From the limited research that I have done on this case, I agree with you. Maybe the were railroaded, but with all of the money that has been raised for their defense, I find it hard to believe that they haven't come up with anything in any appeal that wasn't substantial enough to get any of them a new trial.

sorry, I don't think is the best political cause out there. seems like ending the war is more important (shit, Damien Echols even wrote a song about it). and you also got universal healthcare, corporate crime, etc.

i would like to know more about it. i read about it once, but i haven't seen Paradise Lost yet.
