She isn't being brought up on any charges. Are you trying to suggest she lured him in somehow?

i'm not suggesting anything. i'm giving arguments that would be brought up in a wrongful death suit.

if it were a dog; it would be different. the animal is acting on instinct to attack.

i'm trying to find justice for the poor dead guy with the brain tumor. he wasn't responsable for his actions. he wasn't in control of his mind. she; on the other hand; was ready to kill. i wonder if she was loaded with hollow points for a sure kill. were they full load (maximum gunpowder)? how did she hit this {assumed} moving target in the dark? she must have prepared for her chance to kill someone.

Justice for the "poor dead guy"? huh?

He broke into her house, wearing a mask, carrying a knife, jumped on top of her and held the knife to her throat.

You think she should have called a "Time Out" and rushed him off to the nearest hospital to have a CAT Scan, a MRI and series of other tests to determine if he was sound of mind and healhty of body enough, to warrant killing him in her self-defense?

I find it disgusting how people want to defend and justify the actions of a guy who broke into her house, wearing a mask, carrying a knife, jumped on top of her and held the knife to her throat.

I see this as a major problem in society and a contributing factor to why this country is the fuckin' mess, it is.

Criminals, thieves, murderers, rapists, pedophiles, molestors......they deserve sympathy and justice. But the victims of their crimes and aggression get ripped apart by the media and the overly-PC.

What a fuckin' world we live in!

so again i ask; how is that different from state sanctioned killing?

The difference is if she was given the CHOICE to get out of the situation without killing the man she would have probably done so.

my ex tried pulling something; now the FBI is investigating her; her attorney; and a judge. you don't mess with me!

meth heads did it in my neighbourhood. evidently; a newly activated phone sells for a good days worth of meth. they've got nothing better to do so they waited for ups.

when you order from a new company; you set the passwords.

and they know which ups packages are delivering phones how?

I haven't read the five pages of this thread that went up overnight, btu I had this thought yesterday while driving home.

Let's say that this lady let him rape her, so teh cops could sort it out later. Leaving out the brain tumour, the court transcipt might read like this..

BArrister - Tell me what happened ?
Witness (lady) - He came into my bedroom and held a knife to my throat
B - Did you try to defend yourself ?
W - Well there was a gun on my nightstand, but I was worried I might kill him if I used it.
B- So what did you do ?
W - Well , I grabbed the gun, but I let him rape me, because justice should be handled by teh police and the courts.
B - So, let me get this right, you had a gun, but you did not use it ?
    W - That's right.
B - One moretime, you bought a gun, had it close by, you held it in your hand, but you did not use it, even tough you were being raped at knifepoint.
    W - Yes.
B- No more questions, your honour.
    Music is not a competetion.

You must sleep like LEON in one of my favorite movies The Professional. If you saw the movie he slept in a chair next to a lamp with his shades on and his auto-silencer by his side. That's till Matilda came into his life.

I must have seen that movie 10 times when it came out. I must have been stressed out at the time due to getting married back then. Loved the movie and how he took care of that plant like it was man's best friend a dog.

she SAYS he had a knife to her throat; yet she was able to open a night stand drawer; fumble about for a gun; get it properly situated in her hand; and shoot him without hitting herself. the bullet most likely passed through him at that range so she had to get the angle just right. and since she was able to do that; he had to be moving about. and since less that 10% of gunshot wounds are fatal; she knew right where to shoot him.

if you look back; i'm using your own agruments yet now you don't agree with your own arguments. wasn't it you that said there'd be a wrongful death suit in almost every citizen shooting?

if a dog bites someone twice; they'll put him down. he doesn't have to have rabies.

i suppose i sleep like the woman in the story. i know i have protection at arms length so i sleep wonderfully. now i have a dog though. he likes to watch the tele and always knows who the bad guy is. (growls). he's friendly to those friendly to me but his instinct to protect me is unbelievable.

ok, are you making the point he should have 2 freebie rapes before being shot...or am i being touchy?

he shouldn't have ANY free rapes. i was replying to a post about dogs which was totally off topic. my neighbours dog attacked me on my own property so i shot it. i didn't ask if he attacked someone else prior. if attacked; i will protect myself. be it a mountain lion; dog; or person.
i think the housewife did the right thing. i was asking for others opinions here. only because they flip-flop from day to day. they say she was correct to shoot this attacker; yet they don't believed an armed shopper at the nebraska mall should have shot the guy who killed 8 innocent people. more women carry guns than men. women are more likely victims. i would have risked my life to save innocent victims. i want to understand why other wouldn't.
