tis a fact, that whether good change or bad change...it stresses the psyche the same. so yes, i think many, many people are reluctant to change. whether they prefer lies, i don't know. status quo does seem to work for many. what's the saying? the devil you know is better than the devil you don't? pehaps people feel that way.
beyond that...some just have differing views, and radical thinkers always push buttons, get threats....and sure, sometimes get killed or their beliefs. this isn't just an american thing, it's a human thing...throughout history.
that's the part that caught my eye.*~Pearl Jam will be blasted from speakers until morale improves~*0 -

and blondie...i figured, was just playin' along.
i think oftentimes it is a complex interplay of emotions and logic, and sure....shallow interests, intuition......and one would hope at some point, looking at the issues. some just follow the game, follow parties blindly....and i like to think many more really DO care, and think long and hard on their decisions. however, oftentimes i simply come to realize, what i would like to see and what the general public, overall, wants to see...ain't necessarily so.
my husband and i often joke about whatever is my 'favorite'...be it a meal on restaurant menu, a favorite piece of furniture, favorite paint color, etc...soooo often these things get discountinued. it's happened so often it is laughable..and sure, guess i am out of step with most mainstream tastes.so it's unsurprising to me when oftentimes i am out of step for other, more important issues.....sadly.......
Stay with me...
