You are not correcting me. True there is an impact on the world if the US economy slows down and yes we are in a crisis together, thanks to ill defined banking contracts and the international characteristics of the banking world. Here a small number of banks and insurance companies who invested heavily in failed US banks are getting financial support, some small Lehman bros satelite banks and the likes fell in our neighboring country. Our housing market is doing just fine. I'm not trusting my pension to a shady company. I have the luxury that if I would lose my health I can continue a good of way living.

What I was getting at was is that this mess flew over from the US, it didn't originate here. Different ways of doing business, slight but still different.
