Nader: A Vote Worth Casting!

Let’s Break the Cycle Right NOW!! Why not? If not now, when?

We are the ones we've been waiting for!! It starts NOW with US! We can't continue to sit back and just keep our fingers crossed that Obama will listen to us(if his FISA or War Funding votes are any clue....he won't. We will be in for 4 more years of the same old stuff). They take our votes for granted and ignore our needs and demands because they think they have us all scared to do anything about it and they think we depend on them, that nothing they ever do will be enough for us to get fed up and abandon them. This won't be changing anytime soon....that is, as long as these 2 major parties remain in power with a monopoly over our political system, they will continue to walk all over us and our constitution....because they can and worse, because we LET THEM! It's time for us to realize this, vote them all out and start over with something we can all be proud of!

Consider voting Ralph Nader!....just consider it. The media and others can't tell you how to vote or who is 'electable'. We the voters get to decide that on election day by going out and voting our conscience and for what represents our principles. Our vote is our chance to have our voice truly heard and go towards what we want to see in this country. Don't waste your one chance to express your voice in this democracy by throwing it away on someone you don't have faith in or even agree with on so many issues. If Obama reflects your own views of how this country should be ran then by all means vote for him, the same goes for McCain, Barr, McKinney etc...But if you feel the two major parties have let us down, totally screwed this country up and are corrupt then please stop voting for them!!! We really aren't obligated to despite what you might think, be told or hear from the media. Don't vote in fear. Find someone worth voting FOR, someone you're proud to support, whomever it ends up being....I don't care. Let's just finally reach a consensus that we are tired and fed up with how our country has been ran for years on top of years now and take steps to end this mess then clean it up. It's LONG overdue.

Just take a bit and read his proposals and hear them out. It will be well worth your time! It will take a lot of effort but we can get this done....we have a lot of spirit in this country if nothing else. We take pride in our country...let's start showing it by our actions and involvement and not just our flags and bumper stickers.

Nader is so 2000. There is too much at stake to waste a vote on Nader. My days of voting third party are over at least in the near future. Voting for Nader will not end the war, create jobs or enable millions access to health care.

Voting for Obama will end the war now?

Nader is a remarkable man. People who doubt his contribution to the well being of others as a professional citizen are are joke.

I didn't state it as opinion. I stated it as fact.

And, to answer your question, Yes.

    Nice point.

Unfortunately, it's my opinion that most fear mongering is done by people who don't know how to deal with their own fear. They truly buy into it.

but mud slinging is ok I take it?

the fear that bushco has stirred is based on lies and greed.

my fears are based on fact and observation. You think that's some kind of clever rhetoric, but really you're just telling me to sit down and shut up.

    not gonna happen.

I don't recall Carter succeeding as president. Maybe if he hadn't been the first to close the White House doors to Nader, he would have made it to a second term.

I do feel strongly about Nader. If the people vote for McCain, well then, they get what they asked for.

I take it you haven't checked out his legislative track record.

I think Abook posted a lot of this useful info in the OP.

yes. no one can question is contributions to the well being of others. however in recent years the negative impact he has had cannot be measured. not to mention the pretense and arrogance that surround the man now. he's holding on to stuff he did many years ago. he is NOT A VIABLE THIRD PARTY CANDIDATE. give up. i'm fucking sick of his bullshit. his "obama is talking white" ended any respect i have for the man.

I will not give up. I disagree with your assertion that Nader is surrounded by pretense and arrogance. I have met the man. He comes across as very down to earth to me.
He has dedicated his life to the good of the US and its people. I will be forever grateful to him and champion his causes whenever and however I see fit.

you know i love ya abook but trying to get americans to vote for nader is like trying to make wine out of oranges.

    EDIT:

I found out that you actually CAN make wine out of oranges. it's called, en Francais, vin d'orange.

so to correct my analogy, trying to get americans to vote for Nader is like trying to make wine out of Cheez-its.
