you know it's funny... i was watching meet the press the other day and they had on Tom Delay... they asked him about Iran and he said we need to go in now and stop waiting around... and he emphasised "we must go in before Obama becomes president" and the moderator aked why was that and Delay responded "because Obama would not do it"

so what is it? the right says he is weak and wont utilize the military to their liking and the far left is still trying to paint him as a war monger?

thats half the reason i dont come to the MT much right now... you either get caught up in pages of discussion about ralph nader and having the nader folks constantly bashing Obama, while Obama is 100x's the fucking candidate McCain is, acting as if their vote for nader will even register, and "their fighting the system" (sound like 2000 and 2004 anyone?) while the future direction of the country and the planet hang in the fucking balance. the difference is as stark as black and white, literally. anyone that doesnt see that is as blind as stevie wonder, either that or they slept through the last 8 years. the only place i even see or hear ralph naders name is on here and i am tired of watching the same nader playbook, attack the democrats. seems like a waste of time in here right now.

Not necessarily. The post just caught me at the right/wrong time. It looked like bullying to me, especially coupled with my2hands' sig. It seemed like he's been lookin' for at least one person to get banned. I called it out.

It also depends on what's being asked and how.

Insight into how I look at things, if you care (hell I'm not sure I do): My younger sis got into a lot of fights when she was growing up. Of course, she looked to me to always have her back. I learned that, with my sis at least, it was important to get both sides of the story. Most of the time I turned into a fucking mediator.

I'm not interested in being a mediator here. I'm voting for and supporting Nader and will support and speak out for/with those who are doing the same. I trust their character.

The sig is from a Bob Dylan song.....

I use quotes to suit my chosen context all of the time. I haven't seen many anti-bomb threads lately.

Thanks for the heads up, though. I've seen Bob Dylan live, but am not really familiar with many of his songs.

    You know what...

This whole "Nader lives on $4 million dollar" thing is just pure bullshit. Is that how you people justify voting for a guy who:

    -SUPPORTS DEATH PENALTY
    -VOTED IN CONDOLEZZA RICE
    -VOTED FOR PATRIOT ACT
    -VOTED FOR FISA
-BELIEVES JERUSALEM SHOULD BE COMPLETELY AND UNILATERALLY FOR ISRAEL
    -SUPPORTS TOUGHER SANCTIONS ON IRAN
-DOES NOT AGREE WITH TALKS WITH HAMAS

    etc, etc, etc....

get fucking lives... atleast Nader has plans to do things to change how this fucking country is run.

why the fuck would i listen to tom delay about what barak obama is going to do when barak obama has already said it? i guess maybe if i was someone who didn't like barak's answer and needed to hear something else.

Well, to be honest, Dylan is a little hard to understand most of the time, especially live...lol.

Hypocrisy is not a great character trait especially if you're Saint Ralph the saviour. He has shown a pattern of this yet you justify your support for him -- which is what this thread is about, not the $4 million which has been discussed before anyway. No breaking point for suppporting Nader it seems.

thanks for ignoring the point of my post...

You can argue that Nader has "no chance of winning" which is why someone may not like him, or some stupid shit, but to say he's a hypocrite or anything is just plain nonsensical.

    Thanks for the youtube link.

I trust Abook and Kabong. I've spent a lot of time as a lurker here. They stand up for what they believe in and know their shit. I respect that.

From what I gather, you used to think Kucinich was the best candidate and you did not like Obama. Your position (again, as I understand it) has changed. And you come across as vitriolic. Maybe I'm misreading you. I was hoping to meet you in NYC to get a better feel for you.

Obama supporters break my heart. Some are very mean, others apathetic and many aren't really supporters at all - they are just voting against McCain. I've gained this point of view through petitioning for Nader.

When someone can say wholeheartedly that they are supporting their candidate on their platform, I totally respect that. Doesn't mean I won't debate their viewpoints. But, at least we're starting with respectful disagreement.

Nader is a hypocrite. I've argued that very point numerous times on here and will continue to. Open your eyes or dont but it is true.

    What point did I ignore?

when you rail against wall street, corporate america, and war stocks... then invest millions into them and profit from them... then you are a hypocrite, whether people would like to accept it or not.

For some reason they just dont get it. Seems blatantly apparent, but like this thread is about -- a good number of Nader supporters will justify any of his actions.
