well, mccain said that he repudiates all of these things, so i'm sure he'll do the same with this one.

wait, what? he hasn't done that even though he said he would?

well i'm sure palin will tell the crowd to stop it that they are trying to run an honorable campaign. what? oh...she didn't hear the person say it? oh ok, my bad...carry on...

how would you know if this is an issue on election day?
I'm not sure. Possibly, if the voting outcome is vastly different than all the pre and exit polls.

The left has made a much, much bigger deal out of race than the right has. No question on that. Does that make them racist? I think so.

Maybe I would feel bad if you all weren't calling Palin a cunt and a redneck everyday. Hypocrites.

Well first, the only one to feel sorry for is the ignorant fuck yelling out about Obama being a niger at a Palin rally. And second, stating our displeasure with her being grossly under qualified to be the president of the US, and questions McCain's judgment by selecting someone as such, is a FAR cry from calling Obama a racial slur.

Well, cunt is a slur towards woman, and redneck is a slur towards the small town folks. I guess it is okay to use hateful slurs against Palin if you think she is grossly unqualified to be president. So if this individual at the Palin rally thinks Obama is grossly under qualified to be president, and uses a slur, with your reasoning they are justified.

Personally, I don't think Obama should be called the N word or terrorist, and don't think Palin should be called a cunt. With your answer above you obviously are pro-cunt calling when it is pointed to someone you despise. This is mainly why I'm scared of the liberals taking over. Not so much the tax policies or the health care policies that I disagree with, but the hypocritical views that will lead to the limitation of free speech by conservatives and religious folks (I'm not talking about the N word here (no reason to be said ever), but just in general. The fact that liberals can't see the double standard, and won't be able to see it when they are limiting free speech in 15 - 30 years.

Did Palin say it? If not another non-issue.

Don't tell me Obama's black base isn't thinking this is the chance to get back at whitey.

Saying she is a c#nt is out of line and rude.

Calling her a Redneck is fine, she herself sang "Redneck Woman" with Gretchen Wilson at her Asheville rally yesterday here in NC.

That's right bootlegger, she self identifies as a Redneck so no offense should be taken on that descriptive term.

Racism is WAAAAAY more ignorant and therefore looked down on more.

Also, I never called her any of those names. So, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't interject what you think i was doing.

No, racism is NEVER okay, but some woman are cunts. ;) You see, the difference is, when you call someone the n-word, you are an ignorant racist fuck. When you use that word, there is a name for it. Racist. When you call someone a cunt, while not very nice, it is no worse than calling a dude an asshole. Racism is MUCH worse.

Okay. We'll just leave it at cunt then.

so because obama is ahead in the polls right now, if mccain wins then it's because the country is full of racists? honest question, not being a jerk about it. that's what i got from your response.

I disagree. Although ignorance still exists, things have changed enough that people will vote for Obama, and he'll win.

    Not sure I agree....

There are a lot of jerkoffs out there and it just isn't against the blacks...
My father had to put up with bullshit during the late 70's because of the Iran Hostage deal and I have put up with racist crap since 9/11

The thing is that I am sure you can tell by my name... that I am Indian... but to the ignorant eye I am a Arab...

Also I am convincied that we are still a very racist country and we keep it quiet due to being politically correct.

I have dealt with far too many people in my life that have been nice to me to my face and have called me a sand nigger behind my back...

    Sorry just my two cents...

I hope that I a wrong and my experiences don't reflect the reality of our country

I gave you the opportunity to say that calling her a cunt was wrong as well, but you only gave a reason why people were calling her a cunt. Basically justifiying it. In two posts now you haven't even said it is wrong that she is called a cunt. Meanwhile, most of us conservatives agree that the N word is despicable.

But seriously, again, when presented with a post that said slurs like cunt should not be used, you justified the individuals using it with the very reason that the idiots were using the N word.

So racial slurs trump everything? I guess the feminists in the movement will let gender based slurs slide since they are being used against a woman with conservative views. I wonder how a Republican saying off camera that Hilary was an opportunistic cunt would fair with the feminist crowd?

Edit: I'm just arguing right now while it is legal for me to argue a conservative argument. I realize that the religion of Obama is a freight train that has left the station. When voting is done by emotion and not policy, you can't argue it.

No, I said if the voting outcome is vastly different than the pre and exit polls. I don't know how much more clear I can be about that.

If the polls (both pre and exit polls) are close come election day, that is one thing. It could be anyone's game. But, if the polls (again, both pre and exit polls) are heavily favored in Obama's side, and McCain wins, then yes, I would feel that the "Bradley Effect" had a huge play and therefore, my previous statement would be true in my opinion. Otherwise, why wouldn't people have been more honest with the pollsters?

Is calling a woman a cunt worse than calling a guy a prick or an asshole? I don't think it is. Since when has cunt had a feminist bent? In my opinion, it's just a little more harsh word for when "bitch" just isn't enough. Speaking on behalf of the art of the English language.

Also, I personally haven't witnessed anyone calling her that name. So, I got nothing to defend as I haven't been witness to it. You given me the opportunity? Huh, I am not running for president and I didn't call her that name. So, I am not sure what you are looking for. I already said that it is not very nice. What more do you want from me man? No, calling a person a cunt is not equal to calling someone a niger.

I don't think it is so much the word said but the hate that backs it up. In each scenario there is plenty of hate going around.

ok, i think i see what you're saying. all i hope is that if mccain wins, it doesn't turn into a whole racial thing. i'm not saying there aren't people out there that vote based solely on skin color, but i'd like to believe there aren't enough out there to sway the results of the election one way or the other. personally, i thought it was going to be a very tight race. until powell endorsed obama. i think that was the final nail in mccain's coffin.

While insults against women are reprehensible, there aren't cells of extremist misogynists forming and arming themselves with a view towards planning massacres at girls' schools en route to further outrages.

I agree hate is a bad thing. But, you didn't answer my question. Cunt is a harsh word, but does it have different meaning from the word bitch or asshole? I don't think it does. Those words do not signify your hatred for entire race or population of people. Just your hate for that one individual. But racial slurs cover an entire "race" of people. Hence why they are so much worse.
