Essentially. Trump would literally be trying to create state media by Fox bails him out by serving him. They're going to look as traitorous as the GOP that has been so dedicated to protecting him.
The internet and Fox News are the primary difference between this and Nixon. Nixon apologists could not avoid the truth without pretty much shutting the world out. Now, nearly half of the country can immerse themselves in current events coverage that won't say one negative thing about Trump. If Mueller's investigation is truly damning, I don't know that the 40% will be moved one bit. And I sure don't think that Fox News will admit that it was wrong, much less complicit to treason, this whole time.
Fox News averages 3-4 million viewers a day. Over 120 million people voted in the last election.
30% of his base won't be moved. 10% will--that is who matters.
"I feel compelled to explain why I have to leave. Four decades ago, I
took an oath as a newly commissioned officer. I swore to "support and
defend the Constitution," and that oath did not expire when I took off
my uniform. Today, I feel that Fox News is assaulting our constitutional
order and the rule of law, while fostering corrosive and unjustified
paranoia among viewers. Over my decade with Fox, I long was proud of the
association. Now I am ashamed.
In my view, Fox has degenerated
from providing a legitimate and much-needed outlet for conservative
voices to a mere propaganda machine for a destructive and ethically
ruinous administration. When prime-time hosts--who have never served our
country in any capacity--dismiss facts and empirical reality to launch
profoundly dishonest assaults on the FBI, the Justice Department, the
courts, the intelligence community (in which I served) and, not least, a
model public servant and genuine war hero such as Robert Mueller--all
the while scaremongering with lurid warnings of "deep-state"
machinations-- I cannot be part of the same organization, even at a
remove. To me, Fox News is now wittingly harming our system of
government for profit.
As a Russia analyst for many years, it also
has appalled me that hosts who made their reputations as super-patriots
and who, justifiably, savaged President Obama for his duplicitous folly
with Putin, now advance Putin's agenda by making light of Russian
penetration of our elections and the Trump campaign. Despite
increasingly pathetic denials, it turns out that the "nothing-burger"
has been covered with Russian dressing all along. And by the way: As an
intelligence professional, I can tell you that the Steele dossier rings
true--that's how the Russians do things.. The result is that we have an
American president who is terrified of his counterpart in Moscow."
Interesting take on Zucker calling out Fox as a propoganda machine...
"if Jeff Zucker thinks he’s going to win this war, he’s mistaken. His CNN doesn’t have shows that are pure opinion-asserters the way Fox News has. Fox can drown out Zucker’s objections with ceaseless primetime derision."
CNN president Jeff Zucker called Fox News “a pure propaganda machine” that “does incredible disservice to this country.”

What next? Fabio for governor?
A few things Mr. Fabulous forgot to mention regarding problems with California:
-A governor who is pro fracking. -It's aquifers have been lowered to the point where the central valley has actually sunk. -102 million trees have died since 2010. -Developers are planning 50,000 new home to be built in the 10 miles between Folsom and El Dorado Hills, further putting a stress on water resources and adding to congestion in the US 50 corridor. -Beaches that were once clean and bright now becoming darkened with oil in many places. - Continued loss of species habitat.
Yeah, those homeless are a real problem, aren't they Mr. Fabio?
"Pretty cookies, heart squares all around, yeah!" -Eddie Vedder, "Smile"
Ha...Trump even tweeted in support of Sinclair this morning, declaring them "far superior" to CNN and MSNBC.
WHAT COUNTRY IS THIS???????????!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!
My local rock station reported on this this morning using our local newscasters as the example of reading the Sinclair statement. These are newscasters that have been here forever, reporting on local polictics and being fair and objwective in their reporting on both sides of the aisle. Now? They've lost all credibility because of their corporate task master making them read this or be fired.
I think I've woken up in 1930s Italy or 2000s Venezuela.
Monday's disclosure demonstrates just how tight-knit the pro-Trump media world is. Not only does Hannity advise Trump, not only does Trump promote Hannity's show, not only does Hannity attack Trump's critics -- Hannity and Trump even share the same lawyer.
The problem with the latest news, for me, is that Hannity being dodgy and ending up in prison is not the end he deserves. His nonsense needs to be ridiculed by every person in all parts of life, not just the Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert types. Then all the societal damage he has done is over.
