Man Beheaded and Gutted On Greyhound Bus

this is one of the most disturbing acts of random violence i have read of in a long while. :( i first heard about it yesterday on the news during lunch, but didn't get the full story. this guy HAS to be mentally disturbed! just thinking about it gives me horrible chills and i cannot even imagine what that poor young man suffered. :( :( :( NO one should ever have to suffer such a fate. the human ability to torture is probably our lowest point, ever. absolutely repulsive. heart and thoughts for the young man, and his devasted family...

I'm glad somebody here shares my absolute horror over this incident. This is so bad I wouldn't be able to joke about it--as I mentioned in an earlier post, it sickened everyone in my family yesterday. It's one of the most horrible tragedies I have ever heard of...

They all did the right thing and hauling ass out of there. The bravest thing that they did do was to block the doorway to prevent that fucker from escaping and causing more harm.

All I can say is that boy who died is in heaven now and the only thing I'm thankful for is that the murder took place AT THE BACK OF THE BUS. Can you imagine if he did that at the front of the bus? How would people could have escaped then? And mind, there were several children on that bus too.

A horrible story. I hope the murderer goes to prison in solitary confinement for the rest of his natural life. Don't give him mental help because in solitary confinement, it's just him and his demons.

given the details of this attack, it sure sounds like the guy was rather manic in the process, so yea....imagine facing that horror before you 'judge' others for not acting. i would guess seeing what they saw :eek:...total shock, and also probably far better to guage if they could've 'helped' at all. let's not turn a horrible tragedy, a disgusting attack into blame on eyewitnesses. it's just all too repulsive......

I read that the victim was only 5' 4" .....and that this fuckhead lunatic was three times his size. But he doesn't look that big, to me.

I'm sure with a huge hunting knife in his hand, he looked quite large and formidable.

Edit: Now I read that the attacker was over 6 feet tall and was heavy set. Tim McLean was 5' 4" 120 lbs. What the fuck!

What, this douchebag couldn't find someone bigger to attack? Not to mention it was a surprise attack, no warning ....no nothing; while McLean was relaxing with his eyes close and listening to music or text messaging his girlfriend. Fuckin' weasel....fuckin' coward!

the guys obiously not all there and I believe that due to his alleged "insanity", it makes it second degree....unless it comes out he planned it and had a grudge or something against this poor kid.

I know. I wasn't insinuating anything about that. I'm just trying to sift through all the different stories regarding this and also trying to point out how much of sick fucking coward this guy is.

Canada doesn't have the death penalty, so its prison or a mental institution. I hope its prison because sometimes people do crazy shit just to be doing it, not because they're mentally ill.

Also, the father is the murdered boy is trying to get in contact with his wife, the young man's mother. She's on a cruise right now. Can you imagine the horror she will face once she learns of her son's horrible death while she's on an Alaskan Cruise?

And yeah, when i found out the slight size of the victim, and the size of the murderer, it pissed me off even more. What a cowardly mental punk ass he is.

This was one of the first thoughts through my head....the knee jerk reactions that always follow a shocking event. I hope my country is above getting back into this debate, but I think it's going to become an issue again over this...
