So you think everything is going to be fine a few days?Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!
The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.0 -

hate to say it, but JLew is actualy right here.
We look to have put in a bottom.
Keep in mind thats like being a worker at a blasting pit, and after the last stick of dynomite gets lit, you jump in and go ... "yeah bob. its a bottom!" ... of course there is plenty of dynomite left unaccounted for ... so it may not hold long.
But for now we're looking good ... support holding on the down side ... and the market swinging wildly trying to test new highs. If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -

depends on your definition of "fine"0 -
jlew24asu wrote:depends on your definition of "fine"
yeah.
the downside of this is we are REALLY fighting fire with fire here.
The market is suffering from easy credit woes, and what is the solution?
The fed is throwing money at it like a gameshow host gone mad.
What we will see is another sad bust here in the future.
Maybe a dollar bust, too. Which would make this little market bust look like small potatos.

rates have been lower then this. and they will probably cut again, but that should be it. inflation has to stay down...thats the real killer.0 -

You mean price stability has to remain, i think.
Cause rate cut EQUALS inflation.
The question is if we can keep price stability through it all.If I was to smile and I held out my hand

Dump it all into LMT and HAL, once they hit Iran, it'll all fly off the charts...

and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions

It's tempting from the money perspective, but ultimately disgusting.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,

I meant after the next rate cut (in a few days) they need to stop, to fend off inflation....0 -

Well yeah, that's how we got into this mess...the low rates made prices (ie the principal being financed) rise. People buying shit/houses they couldn't really afford...coupled with the expectation that it'd go up forever so "I'd better buy now before that $200k house is $250k next year!"
I understand trying to stop the bleeding (relieving credit woes by forcing rates down), but let's not add fuel to the fire that started all of this. It's a big circular reference.Do you remember Rock & Roll Radio?0 -

but this time around, lending (and receiving) is not as easy, even though rates are low. the rules have changed0 -
Dont worry, these economic woes are merely a distraction from the real problem facing the United States (and the rest of the world) -- Britney Spears custody case/trainwreck and how bad the movie "Cloverfield" is. The smart money is going into douchebag companies.0
