doesn't mean he's wrong. all of these people are ridiculous, but even o'reilly is sometimes on the mark.and like that... he's gone.0 -

bootlegger10 wrote:The worst part of this Special Comment was the part regarding McCain's Bin Laden comments. Olbermann is grasping at straws here, and this is a clear example of the false outrage that Obama was talking about yesterday. Just because McCain says he knows how to get Obama, does not mean he hasn't brought this strategy to the government. McCain during the entire Iraq war has been pushing for more troops as the solution, and guess what, for 4 years he was ignored. Finally, they send more troops in and things improve. Whose to say his strategy to get Obama is a strategy that the Bush administration is too weak to take?
Olbermann does not know this. Olbermann gets angry and assumes. And that is why he is and sounds like a fool.

I agree about O'Reilly's interview tactics and hypocracy, but one thing that I will give him credit for, is that he actually brings guests on his show with opposing viewpoints. He shouts over them and cuts them off a lot of times, but he brings them on.
Olbermann's on the other hand is like an echo-chamber. I actually agree with him on most things, but I just get bored with his one-sided show.My whole life

Did you have a good time out there? Denver is awesome. I actually was supposed to go to both conventions but wound up not going to either one.
absolutely, the dnc was amazing. although i'm not a huge fan of the city of denver (sorry!). it's way spread out.
you should have hit the conventions. i have feeling the dnc was probably more fun though.if you wanna be a friend of mine

O'Reilley is a blow-hard, and I have never heard him say one thing that isn't a Republican talking point. He's the slimmer version of Rush Limbaugh, but without the oxycontin and illegal nanny.
Olberman is definitely left-wing, but he makes a lot of sense.San Diego 10/25/00, Mountain View 6/1/03, Santa Barbara 10/28/03, Northwest School 3/18/05, San Diego 7/7/06, Los Angeles 7/9/06, 7/10/06, Honolulu (U2) 12/9/06, Santa Barbara (EV) 4/10/08, Los Angeles (EV) 4/12/08, Hartford 6/27/08, Mansfield 6/28/08, VH1 Rock Honors The Who 7/12/08, Seattle 9/21/09, Universal City 9/30/09, 10/1/09, 10/6/09, 10/7/09, San Diego 10/9/09, Los Angeles (EV) 7/8/11, Santa Barbara (EV) 7/9/11, Chicago 7/19/13, San Diego 11/21/13, Los Angeles 11/23/13, 11/24/13, Oakland 11/26/13, Chicago 8/22/16, Missoula 8/13/18, Boston 9/2/18, Los Angeles 2/25/22 (EV), San Diego 5/3/22, Los Angeles 5/6/22, 5/7/22, Imola 6/25/22, Los Angeles 5/21/24, Boston 9/15/24, Ohanafest 2025 (EV)0 -

I agree with you. But I'm not sure he could control his temper. And I think he realizes this as well. But it would be nice to see him debate. He is really quick witted.0 -

well that's just what was happening during business hours (that and reliving 9/11 even though the vast majority of people there were not in nyc when it happened). but don't forget about the afterhours events. secret gay sex! bathroom stalls! painkillers!if you wanna be a friend of mine

Forget about Olbermann for a second, I just have a question (or 4) to pose to the Republican-leaning members of the board. Would you deny that...
1) The RNC video is a means of exploting 9/11 to get votes
2) That there is an attempt by the Republican leadership to claim the tragedy of that day, and to defame the city liberals who "just don't get it" (despite the fact that it was those city liberals that died in NYC that day)
3) That through use of the language in that video, the language by Sen. McCain and others, want to make America fear that by voting for someone like Barack Obama, you are ensuring that something tantamount to 9/11 or even worse would happen.
and finally....
4) Don't you think that's really fucking slimy and offensive?
After all, I mean NYC will probably vote overwhelmingly for Barack Obama, but it's not like NYC knows anything about terrorism.0 -
Fuck all these Olbermann haters. There's no reason to hate him unless you just don't like to hear the truth. He's one of the only people in the media who actually keeps it real. That's why he'll always have haters because some people just can't handle it. It's not like he talks out of his ass and says things like the U.S. massacred Nazis in Malmedy (O'Reilly) or that there was a link between Iraq and Al-Qaeda pre-911 (O'Reilly) Keith calls people out on their BS and I guess some people just don't like that. McCain was the one who used 9/11 for political exploitation. Olbermann was merely pointing out what an ass he is. At least that's how i see it.
I never said that McCain and the Republicans haven't used 9/11...they certainly have. Here's the thing, I actually think we should be talking about it...it's an important issue, terrorism. It reminds us of the terrible loss of life. It reminds us of the waste of it all. All American's should have this in their thoughts at ALL times...especially people who want to run the country. They shoudl be thinking of how to protect America. They should be thinking about it when they are dealing with other countries...so as we can wrk to eliminate some of the hate/support for this type of act. They should be thinking about the loss of life before deciding to deploy troups, etc. They should be talking about it.
Now, for sure, the Republicans are way on 1 side of the spectrum on this...but I think the Democrats are way on the other side...and both are wrong.
Final point...Olbermann is an ass. He's a hate monger, a hate stirrer, and opportunist...he's just as bad as the Ann Coulter's....Sean Hannity's, etc. We'd all be better off if he found another country to be a part of.hippiemom = goodness0 -
