Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

  • Yes, and as a wise man once told me, it's on the internet so it's gotta be true.

    :)

No actually TV is the truth....watch more of it....buy the products it suggests too.

It's all individually and 3rd party owned by unbiased sources. But you know that already...

You know what's really telling about PH's post, though is this. He's admitting that he and his godfather, Rush, are afraid of a hairy little man who lives in a cave in the middle east.

    How's that?

The point of the thread, as clearly stated, was that the rant given by the little hairy man who lives in cave in the middle east bears a STRIKING resemblance to the rants I recieve in my ten-club newsletters. Global warming...evil capitalists...American imperialism.

That was the point, and nothing more. You can read into it however you want to...i'm just making an observation.

as for you people who don't take people who use the world "lib" seriously...trust me...i don't take you seriously either :)
And you ask me what I want this year

Actually no. It was either a double made up to look like him, or it's old footage that has been edited.

The video really hasn't made much of an impact in the world which to me says the source is questionable.

Well, I have to say, the folks here don't take your posts very seriously so I don't understand what value you get out of it. You would have a lot more credibility with other members here by stating your own ideas without hiding behind the skirts of Rush's BS, or even Kat (as in the post above). Just be yourself, for crissakes.

I am being myself by posting quotes by Rush, Glenn Beck, etc on a site here...i like getting your panties in a ruffle...and know that citing them does so....consider that the value I get out of it...i'm a smartass...that's who i am.

but i don't mean to do so in a mean-spirited way...I assume that most people don't take themselves so seriously that they seek credibility through message boards. just lookin' to have fun and learn other people's perspectives.

lastly, I've gotten to know lots of people here by "being myself" through pm's...but that doesn't work for some people.

I'm a beer drinker. Thanks for the martini offer, though.

I'm just saying, basically, and in a nice way, your shtick isn't working anymore so why don't you try something new?

if my "shtick" was getting old, i'd doubt that i'd get three pages of posts one day after posting a thread. you may despise my "shtick", but find it interesting :)

I'll grant you that you could have made a post like this, say, 3-6 months ago and garnered something like vitriol from some of the replies. To say that I "despise" what you are posting only reinforces the idea that you aren't much of a smartass so much as a troll who's days are over.

    *cheers* :)

and the point is meaningless. these views are in common the world over. from OBL, to various american christian churches, to swedish middle class, to african developing nations, to boston democrats, to many others. the fact that bin laden happens to be ranting about issues that concern 75% of the real world is hardly something anyone should feel embarrassed about.

I think the guy was given that speech to read. Really, it's just too conveniently "left-sounding' to be legitimately Osama Bin Laden. He's on the payroll. I'm convinced of this.

    Q: That's a bold statement.
A: I've read past transcripts of Osama bin laden, legitimate interviews, and these are atypical words for that man.
Q: So you're suggesting that he is on the CIA payroll now?
A: I'm suggesting he is safe, and mollified.
    Q: Mollified?
    A: Look it up.
