about the whole group of humans that chastize others for what they do...so sad....and some will never get it. Tell you the louder men scream about those homo's and them threatening the chastity of marriage..and no marriage rights....the more apt they are of being gay....their afraid...but can't help themselves. I'm not twisting his words. I'm following through on his rationale.
According to Pat Robertson, it's wrong to tell lies because no one will believe you after a certain point.
By that rationale, it's OK to tell lies as long as people keep believing you.0 -

i even said he admitted it where do you get the opinion i think he didn't do anything. The post you quoted I even said he admitted guilt to some things. but admission of guilt to one thing does not equal to admission or even guilt of all of the accusations, that's my only point. read my post and don't try to infer anything else beyond that. I have no idea what he's guilty of or what he admitted and neither do you. that's my point.make sure the fortune that you seek...is the fortune that you need0 -

in yesterdays interview he never met the guy, didnt even know who he was.... never had a gay relationship, and has never done drugs of any kind....
today he knows him, bought meth from him on several occasions, and got a "massage" from him in a hotel room....
they were playing the voice mails he left on his gay hooker's phone, he sure does like that meth for a guy who never used it........
without a doubt he will be in rehab by this time tomorrow! mabey he can share a room with foley......0 -
Actually... I don't care if this guy smokes crack and male prostitutes... that's his business.
The only thing that bothers me is his whole, say things you do not follow yourself. This guy has a lot of people following him... I find that sad.

This is why I don't believe in religion. Religion, to me, has nothing to do with God except to use Him as a product to sell.
It doesn't shake my belief in God or the teachings of Christ... it is just more proof that the church isn't in it for God's best interests... it exists in Man's best interest.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

I gotta say that is fucking awesome!!! Not that this guy turned out to be such a hypocritical asshole. But if you could think of the one thing to rain on the evangelical parade and expose their hypnotism, it would be their leader but fucking on meth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Muha ha ha ha ha.... can it get any better??? How embarrassing!!!!0 -

Im not supporting him and christians shouldnt. Why does this one man represent all christians to you? is that how you think?America...the greatest Country in the world.0 -

Look, I'm an atheist, but many of the people I know and love are Christians. I don't have anything against Christians in general. I don't have anything against anyone of any faith believing whatever they want, as long as they're not running around telling everyone else they have to believe it too. Like the other people in this thread, I'm just enjoying the spectacle of this jackass getting knocked off his high horse."Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." ~ MLK, 19630 -

"Haggard resigned as president of the 30 million-member association Thursday and stepped down as the leader of the New Life Church pending investigations into Jones' claims."
"Members of Haggard's 14,000-member megachurch were stunned."
...
That's a lot of influence. If I felt that all of those people were like me... mis-trusting of leaders who claim to know the truth... when my logic tells me that no one really knows, we're all just guessing... then, maybe it isn't that big of a deal.
My guess... a lot of people believe in their religious leaders... until they are caught with their dicks in an alter boy's or male prostitute's butt. Their faith isn't shaken, but they still believe in the next guy to step up to the pulpit.
Maybe we should stop listening to Men and listen to God, for a change.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

Seems very typical to me. These evangelicals can be a very hypocritical bunch. This guy was leading the charge for a ban on same sex marrage, yet he was having an extramarital affair with another man? Whatever.......0

But that's not the type of pastor we're talking about here. We're talking about a man who wants to amend the United States Constitution (a document I hold in very high regard) to include discrimination ... for the first time, to use our constitution to TAKE RIGHTS AWAY from the people. The purpose of the constitution is to set limits on government, not on citizens. We're talking about a guy who raised money by preaching hatred. We're talking about a guy who railed against not only gays but HYPOCRITES in his sermons!
I don't care that the guy had gay sex, I don't even care that he was a crankhead ... it's his life. But if you're going to run around telling others how to live, your own life better be pretty much beyond reproach. You'd think an ordained minister would have read what Jesus had to say about casting the first stone."Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." ~ MLK, 19630 -

Speaking only for myself, if this happened to some pastor who had spent his life preaching tolerance for others ... that we all have our own crosses to bear and shouldn't be too quick to judge ... I would be most sympathetic. I'd think it was very sad that he felt the need to hide who he was, sad that he was in the grips of an addiction to a very nasty drug, and I'd hope that the public would show him some compassion, and that he'd find the help he needed and be able to put his life back together.

I agree. But I believe the context with which this thread was started was to somehow belittle Christians. I myslef am not a religious person, but they have every right to live their life as they see to it, as you said.
Other than that, I believe this to be just another newsstory. If he has done wrong, he should be punished for it. And, as you said, don't 'tread on me.'
"Mr. congregation of 30 million fools" is a pretty raw statement to me. A "hypocritical' one if you will."Sarcasm: intellect on the offensive"

I don't see this thread as belittling Christians. It certainly belittles self-righteous hypocrites though, and I don't have any problem with that.
The "30 million fools" refers to people who eat up this guy's brand of hatred every day for breakfast. I don't think anyone here believes that applies to all Christians."Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." ~ MLK, 19630 -

i started this post, so i might be qualified to tell you what it is about....
there are more than 30 million Christians..... this one snake oil salesman has a congregation of 30 million followers... it says so right in the articles i posted links to. fools? yes, these are people who followed a man who became a multimillionaire off of their hate. i have already posted that i KNOW this guy is not a christian, he is a businessman. he sells hate, homophobia, fear, ignorance and hell insurance. for people to follow and give 10 percent of everything they have to this jerk-off, of course they are fools. not one of those multimillionaire evangelists believe in god, they only believe in separating fools from their money. how dare this man attempt to write hatred and bigotry into our constitution, and not for something he even believes in,, JUST FOR THE MONEY HIS FLOCK GAVE HIM for taking such a intolerable view. I guarantee you he got very rich from his hateful 30 million bigots for being so outspoken against gay marriage. i have also stated that i dont care if he fucks gay whores or smokes crank.... i am more offended by his fake persona than i am his actual life. at least buttfucking his gay whore while snorting crank does not effect the lives of thousands of people who just want to express LOVE for one another.... and it does not make a mockery of everything this country stands for by using MY constitution to limit MY rights..... fuck this asshole for SELLING OUR CONSTITUTION for his personal monitary gain...... a friend of george w. bush indeed!0 -

My husband is a devout Christian, and he's laughing right along with me at the sight of this jackass going down. The pastor who married us is gay, and I think you'd like most of the members of his congregation. I'm not a believer myself, but these are good people, and I know they're not the only Christians who are tolerant and compassionate.
That's all ... I agree with everything you've posted otherwise, I just wanted to clarify that one point."Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." ~ MLK, 19630
