  • He also claims to have weekly teleconferences w/ the white house. Those were x rated I imagine.

I'll admit I didn't find anything leaning left or right in that article.

    But bill is sleeping.
  • so you are sure he is "unclean" robbie....I guess we just froth at the mouth in hope it is true.

  • Nevermind. Got it.
  • If it's not true, how come he stepped down?

As the article stated he was taking leave or something like that while it was investigated...maybe it is true, but the point is who knows and why so are we gleeful hat he is another person who fooled millions and desecrated his faith. Seems like we should be disappointed, not celebrating. I don't know who this guy is, but I am not happy about it. Seems like everyone has something to hide these days.

He's been doing that long before these allegations, but this will hoepfully put an end to his lies and his predation on people's faith and their pocketbooks.

I'm guessing you already knew that though.

Evangelists are such hypocrites. I was watching Pat Robertson talk about why it's important to refrain from telling lies. He goes, "If you are known as someone who tells lies, then no one will believe you. You will not be a person of your word."

LOL, so the reason why it's unethical to tell lies is because we don't want to be known as liars. So, under that rationale, it's OK to tell lies as long as people believe you. What a sham.

you seriously got that from the statement. It seems like you're just looking to twist words. Saying "If you are known as someone who tells lies, then no one will believe you" is no where close to saying it's ok to tell lies as long as people believe you, unless as I said before you're looking to twist words.

    yikes....

interesting, indeed...I wonder if Rev. Haggard has ever met Jeff Gannon...? They both had good access to bushy and the White House...
  • See, this is what turns me off about organized religion. Let me be "up here in my tree" and I can find God, but in a church full of hypocrites, adulterers, etc. I just find anger. That is not what religion should be!

Exactly. Why would be happy about this?

Do you want every media outlet to lean to the right?

I think people are just tired of the hypocritical, self-righteous evangelicals.

Kerry botching a joke was front page news for three days, however, the leader of the evangelical church, and opponent of gay marriage doing meth and paying for gay sex isn’t? Please. If this was a democrat, you'd be grinning like a pig in shit.
  • It's scary that in America we are guilty until proven innocent.

Seriously, if this dude is guilty string him up, but why do we run people through the mud regardless of whether or not facts are proven true?

Most people probably haven't even heard of him to know whether he's hypocritical or self-righteous.

That is precisely why I find joy in these stories. Swaggart, Baker, Haggard - these are pure gold in terms of entertainment value.

Pat Robertson is nuts and it is true tht evangelists CAN BE hypocrites.

But I tend to think that this is a false claim made by liberals out to smear the right and get a good newsstory. (and I am pro-gay marriage liberal and would disagree with this guy's stance on gay marriage.

if I am right, I hope some people go to jail over this.
