Not when the "little guy" goes to the END of the line and sells his extras to other "little guys" for the same price he just paid for them. Take that, dealers!

So the little guys at the end of the line get preference, instead of the little guys near the head of the line when you buy the last 20 posters? Sounds like a recipe for chaos. If someone buys up the last 20 posters in front of me at the show, I will be more than a "little" pissed.

  • I know this isnt exactly poster related but figured the people in this thread would be the ones most likely interested in this

I bought this in a WM3 awareness auction last year. I just set up my new PJ room and with 40+ framed posters going up I just dont have anywhere for it.

The picture is an original 8x10 taken and printed by kerensa from the 10c and signed by Ed from the Boston 04 shows. I think she only made like 3 of these. I still have the original envelope from PJ's publicist that it came in to prove authenticity. I paid $150 for it. Im just looking to get my money back. Im also interested in a Montreal 03 and/or Cincy 06 poster.

I still think the 10C and PJ's management and vendors still need to somehow at least try to enforce the 1-poster-per-person rule.

So in actual poster news, does anyone know if there were any for sale at the show last night?

A quick fix to reinforce the 1 poster per person rule is just to make a big fat black X with a sharpie on every person that buys a poster. Sure, they can rub it off but it will prevent quick stall hopping.

OR...give every booth a hole punch and punch a person's ticket when they buy a poster.

    EASY.

Any word on the Emek Santa Barbara poster?

And did anybody see the auction for a pair of the LA posters going for over $300?!??!

Yeah I can't get over that one. I bet it goes over $400, there are many days left and lots of fools with lots of cash. It's amazing how hot the LA posters are, especially LA2. The prices will continue to go through the roof. Glad I got mine, one I'm not parting with!

I'd say use a big sign, but unfortunately people are unable to read so the big sign wouldn't work - or i should be say doesn't work.

One would also think the honor system would work too. I guess there will always be dicks in the world.

The Emek poster is brilliant, but, alas, will not be sold at the show. Good luck getting that one. Ames is doing the official poster for the show.

I am leaving for Santa Barbara in a few minutes if you are
heading up I wish you all a great show.

I just actually ordered the San Diego CCFA print...I believe both of these posters are actaully better than the Ames designs for SD and LA1.

    hip n jam

we're cool and all, but generally speaking :

why are people blaming 10C for the fucked up vendors who hoard or sell multiples at the venues ? They have absolutely nothing to do with this, and when they do sell them, its thru their site, 1 per member and not for resale.

    just thought i'd mention that.....

You make a good point. I wasn't so much blaming them, as suggesting that someone should step up and somehow try and take some action. I don't have any ide who's responsible for the vendors themselves.

Anyone wanna give up the secret to getting posters at the Ames site? Is there a secret on-sale time that everyone knows about but me? Or does everyone just sit there and hit reload once a minute all day long waiting for them to offer the latest one up for sale, and may the fastest 100 fingers win?

I bought this poster at the show strictly to commerate the event for myself.
It is FAR from the Ames Bros. best work possibly even the weakest poster for the entire tour and nowhere even remotely close to the teaser Emek poster we were all hoping would be the official show poster.
I truly thought that SBB poster would have had more color and creativity it is such a beautiful venue. If the Ames Bros. rushed it or were out of ideas maybe this would have been a great show to allow for some other artist to knock it out of the park.
    Weak sauce Ames boys.....
