they just don't have the same "feel"
although it is a heavy stock paper... and i like a lot of the images
but... once framed... no one is going to be touching them
so as with all posters... if you like the art... buy it
if you don't ... don't buy it
or...
if you don't... but it's popular... buy it and flip it
like thierry henry and the other 26 fucks trying to sell a portugal klausen on ebeans or ebay
Ahh so it is on heavy stock paper?? With everyone talking about them being "wal-mart" style I kinda figured they'd be that flimsy $5 poster paper that they put boy bands on. I'm down for a quick litho lesson if someone doesn't mind
I just got Brisbane so i'm kinda wondering about lithos...9/1/98, 8/9/00, 8/12/00, 4/11/03, 4/12/03, 4/13/03, 4/19/03, 9/28/04, 9/29/04, 10/1/04, 10/2/04, 10/3/04, 10/8/04, 5/27/06, 5/28/06, 6/11/08, 6/12/08, 10/27/09, 10/28/09, 10/30/09, 10/31/09, 10/30/2013, 4/8/2016, 4/9/2016, 4/11/2016, 4/13/20160 -

I remember in 7th grade art class we had a field trip to a litho studio and got educated on the entire litho process. Unfortunately, I don't remember anything about the process. Stupid beer has killed too many braincells...0 -

heavy stock is the word they used

it's not like a screenprint

I've got a couple of lithos in my collection. They do have more of a mass produced feel, kinda like buying a Spiderman poster from from KMart but on better paper.
The few I have I picked up for one of two reasons. 1) I was at the show and 2) I like the pic. I like the colors on today's offering. I bought the Adelaide queen last year cause I liked all the red, and the colors are really vibrant on that one. I'm going to take a chance on this one as well.
Every poster I buy gives my hubby an excuse to buy more comic books. So imagine his glee this month!
Damn, I need a tour. I'm jonesing.

i always thought "supposably" was a mix between "supposedly" and "probably", not that it makes it any better.0 -

I dont use white matting that often, just when the design calls for it...
the purpose of a mat is to one keep the glass of of the art, second to open the art up and accent the print in some way. This image uses a lot of negative white space. With that being said I also don’t like colored mats at all for the top mat, looks cheap (unless we are talking alpharag mats). Most of the time you will notice the mat color before you notice the art. The red Pearl Jam is the part I wanted to pop so I used the dark green and yellow lines to continue the design in the art and the white mat gives the art more space to "breathe". Another reason I use white is if I cant mat right to the image and it bleeds out of the "square" like this one. If I put just color around it, it would looked crammed in the frame... AND one last reason I used the white on this is because it is a 6ply mat… I like the depth the bevel creates on thick and ultra thick mats AND they don’t come in colors either.10.31.93 / 10.1.94 / 6.24.95 / 11.4.95 / 10.19-20.96 / 7.16.98 / 7.21.98 / 10.31.00 /8.4.01 Nader Rally/ 10.21.01 / 12.8-9.02 / 6.01.03 / 9.1.05 / 7.15-16,18.06 / 7.20.06 / 7.22-23.06 / Lolla 070 -
