  • Through the mail? :D lol.

24 hours a day though, every day apart from election day??? I'm on my way. Is there room for one more? :)

Yes I have a wonderful mother.:) 24 hour yes and lets not forget that it is 85 degrees all year round. Great drinking weather.

We probably did. Puerto Rico is a black hole of federal laws.
Raising the drinking age to 21 was required by that bill or you didn't get any of the pork, I mean money.

    how is the surfing?
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

Then I guess we didnt get that money because if we did we would have much better roads. And there is no way they would lower the drinking age. There is too much money involved.

We are blessed with some great waves. Surfing is very big here. Especially the west coast. If you want some info check out the towns of Aguadilla, Isabella, and Rincon. Here are some pic and info.

I'm very religious, but banning alcohol sales on Sunday IF IT'S FOR RELIGIOUS REASONS is very hypocritical and illogical. Heck, for one thing, many churches have Saturday evening services.

I wish people wouldn't drink so much.

It dehydrates the brain, damages memory, damages the liver. Fucks up your friendships and family life. Makes you act stupid.

    What's so great about it?

Life sucks that much you'd rather whitness a spinning room before waking up in a puddle of your own puke?

Getting drunk makes people forget about social biases so they can do what they really want, get down and fuck like rabbits.

So maybe what this means is that people shouldn't drink or think. Just act stupid and fuck.

You know, it's possible for many of us to pace ourselves so that we never get to the spinning, puking and indiscriminate fucking stage.

Anyone that can maintain that on hard liquor has my respect. Beer no problem.

I know, but what's the point then?

Ever hear of a contact high?

If a person can get a "contact high" or get high just from being around people who are high, could a person not just get high from acting stupid?

Any time I act stupid, I feel kind of high from it. What's the point of the alcohol?

You've been in the gabbly with me after I've been drinking tequila for hours ... I don't think I've acted stupid, I don't even make typos. I certainly don't spin or puke. I just like the way I feel.

I'm pretty sure that's the same justification for doing crack cocaine. I'm not really one to talk, but alcohol is pretty bad and it gets abused a lot. When a person can hit a 24 to their head, something is wrong.

  • Wait...are we talking about a 24 to the head or a 2x4? There's a slight difference in the delivery but I guess the effect is the same. :D

A 24, case of beer. Or a 28, weekender. "To the head" is kind of a west-coast slang from where I grew up. Not sure if it makes sense to anyone here, but it means "alone" "by one's self".

Never heard it. I thought you forgot the "x" in 2x4.

A 28 weekender is what I would call goin on a bender. Friday night would be probably 10 with a puff or two. Most likey 12 would follow on Saturday. Which leaves 6 beers and a toot for a nice afternoon buzz on Sunday to wind it out..

    lol

:D I thought that was ridiculous too... also calling NY 'the city that never sleeps' is bollox and false advertisement... cos you can't get a fucking drink ANYWHERE after 4am  unless you 'know someone'

aww, you just need to know where to go. i've been in a bar until about 5:30am and then left and picked up a six-pack at a nearby bodega.

although nyc has some weird laws about beer not being able to be sold alongside wine and booze or something. that's not too bad for me because i prefer wine and booze, but i don't like that i have to wait until noon on sundays to have my wine delivered! :)

PA has the most fucked up liquor laws i ever heard of. damn amish.
You can get liquor on Sundays? I grew up and lived in PA until 1984 and on Sunday you had to go to the pizza parlor for only a six pack. Law change?

Well it tastes good. If I only drink one or two at a time I really don't get high. Myself I also drink water alot so I am not dehydrating myself. To top it off I can start and end a sentence with the same word.

Hmm... ok then I'm guessing you've had pretty bad experiences with alcohol and that's why you don't like it... shame that! I can actually say I've NEVER woken up in a puddle of my own puke... I usually find the toilet ;) actually I haven't puked from drinking in WELL over a year... and I'd guess it's been a few years now.

Yes, there are plenty of natural highs of course but it can be easier to just drink...
