"But Mr. Gibson noted that threats of new sanctions had failed to stem Iran’s nuclear program so far and asked Ms. Palin whether she would back Israel if it were to seek to eliminate Iran’s facilities militarily. “We are friends with Israel,” Ms. Palin said, “and I don’t think that we should second-guess the measures that Israel has to take to defend themselves and for their security.” Pressed, she twice more said she would not “second-guess” Israel."
cincy has a point ... It never ceases to amaze me how the same people who balk at American, Israel, or "Western" military projects get all worked up whenever someone says that the Russians or China should not sell weapons to so-called rogue states. Are you guys anti-military expansion in general, or are you anti-Western/pro-Islamic extremist/whatever ideology lurks beneath the rants? I'd like someone to admit it, come clean already, or else write more carefully ...

The way I see it... if we are going to arm Israel (for example)... and promote Capitalism around... why don't we either... just sell arms to whomever wants to buy them... or support the Capitalist ventures of another country that is willing to sell to its adversarial neighbors?
I mean, try to look at it from another view... let's say that Russia has been selling advanced arms (not surplus) to Iran for decades... wouldn't we want to sell arms to Israel to counter their sales? What would you say to Russia, when Russia tells us to reconsider selling arms to Israel?

Sorry bud, but I do not buy the tit-for-tat argument in this case, assuming that's what you're saying. I can often see your points, but this time the elements of truth that are usually present allude me. Granted, I may be having a slow day.
