lovely. awesome. hooray. now can someone please tell me how nader is going to bring peace to israel? i've read his website. it's says all the nice feely touchy mmm i feel good things, but how does he actually propose to do this?

i want to know how. anyone? kabong? outlaw? smithy?, urban?

Sounds alot like the "Change" and "Hope" that the Nader minority likes to point and laugh at. Why should Nader bother actually having a plan when he knows he doesnt have a chance in hell of being elected to anything, let alone the presidency.

No matter who is President and what they say it is ultimately up to the people of Israel and Palestine.

No it isn't. It's up to the U.N Security Council. That is if you believe in international law.
Maybe you don't, in which case the Hutu's should have been left to exterminate the Tutsi's, and the Serbs should have been left to exterminate the Bosnian Muslims. (Oh shit! That's exactly what did happen! )
Still, If the U.S had actually opted out of - casted a vote of abstention - interfering in the Israel-Palestine conflict, instead of singularly vetoing any chance at a two-state settlement, then we would have had a peace in that region 30 years ago.

I'm sorry but the UN Security Council and the US are not going to fix this problem. Both sides are controlled by the extremists who are unwilling to compromise. There are groups of people on both sides who are anxious and willing to work this out but until those people gain control this problem will continue for years.

The U.N Security Council won't fix the problem because America won't allow it to by continually using it's power of automatic veto to block any two-state settlement.

The Palestinians want Israel to do the same thing that the rest of the world, excluding the US, wants them to do- that is, move back to the '67 borders. Once Israel does that with international consensus, they can work with the Palestinians.
  • Sorry guys

Nader is like Al Sharpton in the primaries...

he knows he can't win so he has the luxury of being able to say what people want to hear.
