My daughter just heard them yelling "commy faggots" in this video and started yelling the same thing at her Boots the Monkey doll.

These people are fucking shameful. I would be embarrassed to be aligned with them in any way. (Actually, I am embarrassed to be an American when I see stuff like this.)

The HATE, IGNORANCE, RACISM in those eyes is horrifying. It's rather disturbing, this goes way beyond party lines and elections; this is a war to these people.

It's scary to think of how volatile they will be after Obama wins.

It's only going to get uglier. Maybe the ignorant racists will riot.
  • Obama and McCain agree on so many things... I don't see what the problem is.

I guess that's the true definition of ignorant stupidity.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions

It IS horrifying. But I must believe, I truly believe, that this type of behavior is in the minority of people, NOT the majority.

Of course it is the minority, but it is a very vocal minority, and both McCain and Palin have a responsibility to at least say something to curb these mobs. The fact is they're inciting them and standing back when it happens. Shameful.

ok...the guy in the mirror agrees with me 100 percent.

and you didn't say "simon says"

So, you think it's OK to generalize and call a large group of people stupid? Seriously, re-read what some of these people said. They were upset at how these folks in the video responded regarding Obama (that's fine)... then they come on here and call ALL people who support McCain stupid.

Grant you I don't care for Obama or McCain but I certainly don't hate the guy or think he's evil with evil intent. I do believe he's too much like King George but maybe King George will in force Marshall Law and keep himself in power then we won't need to worry about Obama being a terriost becoming President.

Maybe these folks would rather have that instead.

I mean REALLY WATCH THIS VIDEO.

Do you not see a problem with the people in this video?

Do you think that possibly the fire is being fanned here a little bit by the man on the soapbox?

I don't recall anyone at an Obama rally yelling for McCain to be "Killed" or calling McCain a "Terrorist".

It's pretty evident that there is one side here that is taking things TOO FAR.

This is just not true. Where in this thread did anyone extend this to all McCain supporters? People made a point of stating that it was a minority, albeit a vocal one. If you could show me the example in this thread where they extended it to all McCain supporters, I'll stand corrected.

I think if you had a camera at a DNC rally and had some one walking up to people asking similar questions (except the other way) you'd get some off-the-wall answers too. Try to be objective.

What responses do you think you'd find at an Obama rally about McCain would be equally reprehensible? And you think they'd be equally prominent? And if such terrible things are being said, why are they not on the TV? In the blogs? Etc...is it just the Liberal Media rearing it's head yet again?

what i don't get is that no one in the mccain/palin camp has done or said anything to even try to distance themselves from this. they say "oh, we didn't hear that" but obviously someone did when it is brought up on tv and in news stories. are you saying NO ONE in the mccain/palin camp has 30 seconds to watch/listen to the video where someone yells out "terrorist" or "kill him"?

** edit - i can't see the video at work, but i can only imagine **

it'll be intersting to see if someone, anyone in the media asks McCain about the people asking questions at his town hall ..

some guy yesterday got up and asked, essentially, why McCain's losing to a socialist ... kind of a funny question when you take a read of McCain's government buy back plan of mortgages ... letting banks off the hook and making the American taxpayers take the loss ...

really? someone on this board calling a mccain/palin rally attendee that yells out "terrorist" or "kill him" or "osama obama" stupid is the same as actually yelling out those things? ok. just wanted to make sure.

yeah, i started a thread about all the mccain/palin rally attendees getting mad that mccain's not doing more and that one guy said he was mad, not about the economy, but about the socialists that are ahead in the polls.

i think it was on countdown or maybe rachel maddow, but one of the guests did say that people have reached out to the mccain/palin camp and "we didn't hear it" is the stock answer they are getting.

I think you'd find similar things. I just don't think you'd find a conservative going up to people interviewing them. That's all.

My basic point is simple, there are smart people on both sides of the aisle. Their are not smart people on both sides of the aisle. There are fair-minded people on both sides of the aisle. There are also non fair-minded people on both sides of the aisle. There are extremists and non-extremists on both sides. If you search hard enough you can make a case for both.

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that it's only on one side? If that's the case, I think that is complete B.S. and shows an obvious lack of objectivity.

Well McCain heard this gentleman call Obama a socialist, it was a TOWN HALL question yesterday ... the McCain suporters really need to check out their guy's plan on the buyback.

    yup....

just watch the videos....they were created in two different areas of the country, yet they show the same thing...hate and ignorance....

while I agree with this, that both sides have their warts ... the McCain campaign is FEEDING this hate, openly and often ...

Did you see McCains reaction when someone yell out "Terrorist" the other day? It was CLEAR, he heard it ...

Look at the 13 second mark when McCain asks "Who is the real Barack Obama?" and the guy in the crowd yells "terrorist!" ... McCain herad it clear as day ... and yet, he then goes on to chastise Obama for only replying with an "angry barage of insults" ... such overt hypocracy.

This is why people are pointing at the McCain campaign ...

So any McCain supporter here want to jump on board here and provide any details of any Barack Obama rally where his supporters have uttered anything as hateful, racist, and ignorant as 2 video's shown on here?

Short term maybe...but in the long term it will be harder and harder for ignorant white crackers to convince people to hate.
