this doc was just creepy...all of em were...the mom teaching her kids science can't/doesn't prove anything, the ONLY possible explanation for everything is intelligent design, how the mother kept referring to it as 'training' her kids, not teaching or anything like that...then the lady running the camp was completel fucking nuts, too!

and she is a liar...near the end when she's on that radio show she says her camp doesn't politicize things and doesn't bring up politics or politicial parties....yet earlier in the doc at the camp they brought out a lifesized cardboard cutout of bush and had the kids touch it and pray thanking them for such a divine leader who will fight this divine war and all that bullshit!

and that girls dad who was atually happy he was going to iraq on this 'all expenses paid missionary work'!!! and the girl was happy her dad was going to fight this war, too!

    these ppl are warped!!!

That doesn't help. Bible camps are a big thing and for those that believe, a good thing. When it's tampered with hate and misinformation regarding other religions and politics then are they on the same line as cult or terrorists training camps. Supposedly, Jesus died for their sins, he never asked them to die in his name.

At what point does teaching become brainwashing? and to what end?

actually, in the doc, the lady who runs the jesus camp says how in the middle east they train their kids at around 5 to wear bomb belts and fire rifles and how we need that dedication and willingness to do that for jesus and their god!

I watched this last weekend, and it thoroughly creeped me out. At the very beginning they asked the kid's pastor why she focused on kids in her ministry, and she said it was because "These kids are so usable." WTF?!!?! A pastor is supposed to be of service to them, not use them!!!

And the part where she had the whole room of them bawling their eyes out because they felt guilty for being such horrible sinners. What the hell could a nine year old have done to feel so guilty about? It's emotional manipulation, and it's sick.

There were some funny moments though. I liked the part where she was talking about having a tiger by the tail, while she swung around a huge stuffed lion :D Guess she should have paid a little more attention to some of that "science" nonsense, hahahaha.

using children as human props in an anti-abortion demonstration was so cute. or as ted haggard would say, "faaaaab-you-luss"!

that's exactly the point, thank you. the double standard in this country is unreal.

this stuff IS being taught in Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, and its creating an entire new generation of "holy warriors". are we trying to do the same?

that's pretty much what the lady who runs the camp said

So they are telling the kids to be martyrs and to go out and kill others because of their religion?

from the lady who runs the camp:

starts talking about how in palestine they train kids, in camps, to throw hand grenades, wear bomb belts, use rifles, how to use machine guns "it's no wonder w/ that kind of intense training and discipling(sp??) that those young kids are willing to kill themselves for the cause of islam, i want to see young ppl who are as committed to the cause of jesus christ as the young ppl are for the cause of islam. i want to see them as radically laying down their lives for the gospel as they are over in pakistan, israel, palestine you know, b/c, we have, excuse me, we have the truth!"

From what i've read this sort of religious fanaticism is growing more and more each day in america.

    Very scary.
Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.

this is the most disturbing things i have seen in a long time. others have already mentioned the highlights... but man was it sick. the way they manipulate these kids is disgusting. like the one kid talking about how any time he meets someone who's not a christian he feels like there is something wrong and they are gross. that is a fucked up thing to do to a kid.

i also, after watching this, cannot believe anyone was shocked to find out that ted haggard was gay.
  • Ted Haggard is my freakin idol... If only I was a flaming gay homosexual and liked spanking fat meth hits while some guy worked out on my rear.

I'd almost buy posters and convert religions. hahaa :D

meth and man ass on an Sunday morning...

  • Regardless,

"Worry not about the mote in your neighbor's eye..." and "turn the other cheek" do not seem to be ideals these people are talking about.
