China could have gotten rid of the North Korean nuclear issue without a gun if they tried. They didn't. They forced the US to make concessions. China, Russia, and most of Europe could have ousted Saddam and kept the peace in Iraq, but they didn't and continue not to help. Russia is pretty much encouraging Iran. So, I don't believe China is this innocent country at all. They make other countries do their dirty work. Terrorists can mess with the US because we can't fight back like China can. China would be ruthless. The US fights with one hand tied behind its back.

Yeah, give it a go, but I'm bound to get bored. I mean I know it's important to the history of Ireland, and Australia too, but seriously a blow by blow on the last 1000 years probably aint gonna keep my interest. Specially with my simplistic, just STOP NOW mentality.
I can see exactly what the video is talking about. I can definately see people of the world hating America's government. I mean are ignorant everywhere, and thats no exception to Americans. I'm still just so surprised when you meet smart people who are so blind. We have a corporate government that isn't about any people in the world. Its always about the money and resources and power. But its always been this way. Now its just available for us all to see it. We shouldn't have to take it anymore.

When I hear people applauding all the pro war candidates, and their pro war mentailty in the debates, it makes me wonder if those talking about it have actually learned anything from it in the above context as posted, or are just paying homage to the water cooler.

I was ok with everything but that last bit. In what ways have the US options on "fighting back" been limited, esp. when compared to China? How are American hands tied? Seems to me the US fought back in whatever fashion they saw fit. Also...What terrorists are messing with you?
You may be right that China is just as dirty, but more covert in it's foreign policies...but it's American bravado - westernization by force, under the guise of "spreading democracy" in one form or another, that makes the US more of a target for terrorism...proclaiming righteousness while bombing innocent people for business interests...China doesn't stand on a soapbox and dress up their atrocities for mass consumption.
Their human rights record is 100% inexcusable...but hasn't China obtained most of it's influence in the world thru economic means, while the US has used force, or the threat of it? Can you honestly envision China being attacked, then mobilizing their military on the scale the US did post 9/11? Then going into another country while they were at it? I highly doubt it...This was expected of the US, even the "another country" part!
^^^^ this is why some hate the US...not the landmass, not the people...it's the policies, the lies, and the bravado...I'm sure there is also a frustration that so many Americans buy into it. (for the record, I only hate individually)
